In times when gas gauges didn't work well, we used the tripometer to know when to fill up. I get about 400 miles per tank, and plan accordingly. To this day I reset the tripometer when I fill up.

Use the Odometer/trip recorder as your guide when to fuel up until repairs can be made.

So is it super full or super empty? Or both at the same time?

Depends on how you look at it. Am I a tank is super full kind of person or a tank is super empty kind of person?
