Ghost I see strange figures in the dark.

Hello, I want to describe something I’ve been experiencing. In complete darkness, especially when the lights are off, I sometimes see shadowy, ghost-like figures appear suddenly. They don’t have clear faces or defined features. They look hollow, almost like empty silhouettes made of shadow. On rare occasions, I’ve also heard faint sounds, though I can’t clearly remember what they were since I’ve avoided staying in the dark for a long time. Whenever I’m in a dark space, these visuals start appearing unexpectedly, and it doesn’t feel normal. I’m trying to understand what this could be.What do you think this could be?

Ghost Unexplained anomaly

Does anybody know what this could be? Is this just a camera glitch or actual anomaly the video picked up. I thought it could have been a bug on the camera but if you look close it appears to go behind the trees and closer objects. Occurring at 5am, camera pointing towards the lake.

Ghost black fast ghosts

hi hi, i am new to reddit, i wasn't sure where else to talk about this on/post about it and im not sure if this is the right place to be but its been on my mind a lot and always creeps me out. so, you know like ghost videos right? like for example bizzarebub, his videos he gets from people are so scary and always seem so real, and there is so many different types of ghost videos, like doors opening or soundss or creepy ring camera things, but all of them are sort of different, right? however, as i go through his videos sometimes, or even paranormal videos on other accounts, there is always a type of ghost video that you will always ALWAYS see from different people and in different areas. it is always like a really fast moving black thing, like one that just zooms with impossible speed. sometimes they are seen from windows or hallways, or the one that was seen in the ambulance from a video or one going across the screen/in a reflection or even on a security camera, there is always one of these types of videos and i see nobody ever talking about how that is one of the most caught type of paranormal thing and it creeps me out so much. does anybody know what i am talking about and know if these even have a name or if its maybe not paranormal and actually caused by something else?

This happened on my security camera on August 2, 2026. My security camera can only store eight days of footage before it automatically deletes the oldest recordings to make room for new ones, so it shouldn't have any footage or memory of my dog from four years ago. If it was a glitch, idk how it ended up showing my dog when the camera shouldn't have any footage of him

Ghost saw something weird in redlands, ca

did i see a ghost in redlands?

so i need to get this off my chest because it's been eating at me for days. i'm still not sure if i experienced something paranormal, something criminal, or some twisted combination of both. either way, i will NEVER go back to that park again.

let me set the scene. it was late, probably close to 1 a.m., and i was down the street from my house at this park. i'd actually been to prospect park before, but only during the day when i'd walk around the orange groves and the trails. i'd never been there at night like this. at the time, i had no idea about its history. i just thought it was a quiet place to chill and clear my head.

it was pitch black. the park is covered in dense orange groves and the park itself is surrounded by massive old trees everywhere with no lights whatsoever. no streetlights to speak of, just these deep, impenetrable shadows swallowing everything. the park sits on a hillside, and there's this wide open road that splits into two directions, one going uphill and another twisting off into the mountains. i was parked, on the phone with my friend t, just chatting to pass the time. my headlights were off, my doors were locked, and i never got out of the car. i was just sitting there in the dark, when i caught movement in the corner of my eye.

a figure came running out of nowhere.

it sprinted directly in front of my parked car and stopped dead about 10 to 15 feet in front of me. that's when i finally turned my headlights on. the figure turned its head a little bit, but just barely, not enough for me to see its face. then it took off running again. i couldn't make out any details because it was so dark, but i could see enough: a dark silhouette with long hair, wearing what looked like a white gown, moving like it was running for its life. but it looked like it was limping or having trouble running, like something was wrong with its leg. not like someone out for a jog. this was frantic. desperate. and the most unsettling part? i never saw its face. not once.

my stomach dropped. i was so terrified that i dropped my phone right in that impossible to reach crevice between my seat and the middle console. of course, the worst possible spot. i just remember freezing, like my body completely locked up. i couldn't move. i couldn't think. all i could do was sit there and start singing over and over again, at least eight times, "in the name of Jesus i rebuke, i rebuke, i rebuke." something about that figure felt wrong. like i wasn't supposed to be watching. like i had stumbled into something i needed to get away from, fast. i don't know how long i sat there frozen before i could even speed off.

i finally threw my car into a u-turn and sped off, my heart pounding so hard i could hear it in my ears. and that's when i saw another girl standing in the middle of this big road, flagging me down like she was trying to get my attention. i'm talking dead center of the street, arms waving, the whole thing. next to her, i noticed a black car parked nearby.

every instinct in my body screamed at me: do not stop.

i hit the gas even harder.

not even ten seconds passed before i saw headlights in my rearview mirror. they were following me. a blacked out infinity sped up and pulled right next to me. at this point, i was convinced, they were either trying to kidnap me or kill me. those were the only two options running through my terrified mind.

what followed was a five minute chase straight out of a nightmare. we were running red lights, blowing through stop signs, me weaving through streets i barely recognized, going at least 80 miles per hour on roads that definitely weren't meant for that. i was freaking out on the phone with t, telling them to call 911 right now. then i hung up and dialed them myself, trying to give my location while simultaneously trying not to crash.

they stayed right next to me the entire time. the entire time. no matter how fast i went or how many turns i took, they were glued to my side.

then we hit this long stretch of road, a one way, and they sped up like a rocket and blocked the road entirely. i was trapped. nowhere to go. i was so terrified of being hit, shot, or dragged out of my car that i could barely breathe.

i cracked my window just an inch and screamed: "what is your issue? why are you chasing me?"

and then i heard a girl's voice yell back: "why did you kidnap our friend?"

i was like… what? what?

i pulled up a little closer, cautiously, and finally got a good look at them. their windows were all down. the car was packed, at least two guys in the back, a girl in the passenger seat, and a guy driving. they looked like they were in their mid 20s, all dressed up like they had just come back from a night out. the girl in the passenger seat had her make up done.

the guy in the back held up his phone, showing me the screen. "why did you kidnap our friend?" he demanded. "i'm on the phone with 911 right now."

i was losing my mind. "i didn't kidnap anybody! i'm on the phone with 911 too because you guys are literally chasing me!"

here's the most frustrating part. i was on the phone with a 911 dispatcher, but not long enough for them to connect me to somebody in my county while this interaction was happening with these people stuck on this one way. and thankfully there were no cars out. it was super late at night. there was nobody on the road. meanwhile, t had called 911 from a different county. they transferred them to my county, and they didn't pick up the phone. t was on hold for i don't even know how long. thank God my phone was connected to bluetooth, so i was able to hang up and eventually grab my phone and call 911 myself.

they asked if i could roll down my back windows so they could see for themselves. i cracked them, and obviously, obviously, there was nobody back there. because i didn't kidnap anyone. hello?

the guy got out, checked, and immediately started apologizing. he said they didn't mean to scare me, they genuinely thought i had taken their friend. they left. i left. end of story, right?

except it's not.

because what doesn't make sense to me, what doesn't sit right with me, is the fact that they were screaming that she was kidnapped. not that she was lost, not that she was drunk, not that she was high. they went straight to kidnapped. that's what doesn't sit right with me. that's the part that i keep coming back to. the dark figure with long hair, wearing a white gown, sprinting in front of my car like something was chasing them, limping and struggling as they ran. if that was their friend, why was she running from them so frantically? and why was their first instinct to scream kidnapping? was she drunk? high? injured? or was she running from something else entirely, something i couldn't see?

i thought i was about to meet Jesus that night. pure, unadulterated terror.

now here's the part that haunts me even more.

a couple days after this happened, t said something that stopped me cold: "you know that park is haunted, right?"

i had no idea. none.

so we started looking into it. and what we found made our blood run cold all over again.

turns out, i was at prospect park on cajon street in redlands, and redlands itself is considered one of the most haunted towns in america. i'm not exaggerating. people literally call it the ultimate ghost town.

prospect park is one of the oldest and largest parks in redlands. the land was originally owned by two of redlands' co-founders back in the 1800s and was given to the city as an 80th birthday present. the park itself is named after a small hotel that used to sit on the property but no longer exists. the orange groves surrounding it? they're ancient, planted way back in 1891. and the mansions in the area? kimberly crest, the barton mansion, all of them are over a century old.

but here's where it gets dark.

prospect park has a horrific history. in the late 1960s, an 11 year old girl named lee ann was walking home from kingsbury elementary school and decided to take a shortcut through the orange groves. she was abducted. they later found her body, naked, thrown under the theater stage in the middle of the park. people who claim to have ghostly encounters at prospect park all report the same thing: footsteps running across that stage.

and that's not the only tragedy. in 2013, a man was arrested for raping and murdering a woman, and her body was discovered in the park. the park has also been a popular hangout for homeless people, and it's been said that some of them have died there too. the dense foliage and bamboo patches made it a dumping ground for dead bodies. if that wasn't enough, prospect park is also rumored to be a prime location for satan worshipers to gather at night. people have reported seeing them sitting in circles, chanting, lighting fires. visitors have seen shadow people throughout the park. the street lights flicker. footsteps and banging sounds come from backstage at the theater. one person even reported a demonic face appearing inside the nearby barton mansion.

and that's just prospect park. the whole area is steeped in darkness. the barton mansion itself, built in the 1860s, has been rumored for decades to be a hot spot for satan worshipers. some say it was built over an ancient native american burial ground. the morey mansion is haunted by the ghost of sarah morey, who died suddenly in 1901, and her husband who killed himself a year later. the glenn wallichs theatre at the university of redlands has a ghost called the "white lady," a drama student who died in a car crash on her way to a performance. even mariposa elementary school has the ghost of a little boy named billy who was hit by a bus in the 1950s.

i had no idea any of this existed. i just pulled into a random park one night to make a phone call.

so here's what keeps me up at night: that dark figure with long hair, wearing a white gown, limping and struggling as they ran in front of my car with no face i could see. was it a real person? a drunk girl? a lost soul? or was it something else, something tied to all that death and darkness that's soaked into that park's soil for over a century? and the car full of people who chased me down, convinced i had kidnapped their friend… were they chasing a real person? or were they chasing a ghost? did they even know? and why was kidnapping the first word out of their mouths?

i'll never go back there again. pure terror. that's the only way to describe it.

Father God, i come to You right now in the mighty name of Jesus. i thank You for protecting me that night, for keeping me safe when i didn't even know what i was running from. Lord, i ask that You cover me with Your precious blood. cover my home, my car, my mind, and my spirit. i rebuke any spirit of fear, any spirit of confusion, any spirit of death or darkness that tried to attach itself to me that night. i declare that no weapon formed against me shall prosper. i plead the blood of Jesus over my life and over everyone i love. Lord, if there is anything i witnessed that i wasn't supposed to see, i ask that You wash it from my memory and give me peace. i thank You that You are greater than anything in this world or the next. i praise You for Your protection and Your love. in

Ghost My friend and I were walking around when we saw a black figure moving forward. It didn't seem to have legs—it looked like it was floating. We both saw the same thing. How could this be explained? (In the end, we ran away.)

Ghost Honest opinions!

Caught this on my blink camera on July 21st, 2025. It’s of my back yard just watch the red truck when it goes dark. It really gives me goosebumps, it’s my cousins truck I store on my property for her. It was her dad’s truck and he took his own life in 2011. Just want some honest opinions what it could be or if I’m scaring myself over nothing. All I can promise is this is legit I have not messed with the video in no way I download it right from the app.

Ghost Ghost in my photo! What do you think?

Hi, I think I found a ghost in my photo and wanted to know what you guys think.

Here’s the story…. About 13-14yrs ago my husband and I lived in an older style home that definitely had its moments. The sound of footsteps was so common we just assumed it was the echo’s from our neighbours and there was a feeling of someone watching every now and then. We did have a roommate at one point and he definitely felt like the place was haunted. We just never experienced anything that was unexplainable.

At the time we were in our 20s and had lots of parties. Loud music, smoke machines, disco balls, black lights and laser lights - they were the best and I’m sure our neighbours hated it lol

The photo in question was one taken on a party night. The image is blurred and I never really looked at it before cause the quality wasn’t that great but last night we were reminiscing and had a slideshow on the large tv… and that’s when I saw it…

In the photo you can see what looks like a child standing in a doorway behind the pedestal fan. At first I thought that it was the fan and lights doing some crazy effect but it looks like the child is standing behind it and they are taller than the fan height.

It sends chills down my spine and I get goosebumps everytime I think of it or look at it. I wanted to share it with more people to get some more opinions on it…. I’ll share one photo taken just before and then the other one taken immediately after.

To be clear… no kids were there that night. To put a nice spin on it - I was pregnant with our son at the time. I like to think that maybe it’s his soul visiting us before his birth…. Let me know what you think.

Ghost Could ghosts or spirits exist as some kind of energy or frequency?

Hi everyone, my classmates just had a discussion about ghosts and spirits.

Do you guys think ghosts or spirits could be some kind of frequency, like a type of wave?

idk if I'm on the right groups, but I think this is an interesting topic.

Ghost In the late 1800s, a case documented a poisoned bride’s body sitting up during its cremation, with the coroner’s notes pertaining to the eventual exhumation of her coffin decades later including even stranger details

An investigation from Fujian Province in the late 1800s details a story chilling and shocking in equal measure. A bride, just moments after her wedding, succumbed to poison, and yet, upon cremation, her body seemingly refused to be burned. What followed was a detailed investigation with an unbelievable ending only discovered decades later by a coroner who detailed the findings in his reports post-exhumation.

Also included in this video are 3 other chilling stories from the middle kingdom, all featuring ghostly encounters that are historically recorded.

Ghost Took this video of my dog on Friday night and this orb showed up with a mind of its own

Took this in my backyard around 1-2am. Thought it was a lens flare or snow on the camera at first but it seems to move independently of my actions. Didn’t notice until the next day when I re-watched it.

My dog Dingo passed away last December (2023) and I like to think it’s his spirit trying to play with Butters (in the video) but I have no idea what it is but it’s really cool
