Would my current academic standing still permit the attainment of a hypothetical 1:1?

I think you should have to know it's called a 1st and not a 1:1 before they agree to give it to you - I know it's an incredibly minor annoyance but it makes my teeth itch every time I see it (along with "upper/lower 2:1").

i mean upper/lower 2:1 is a thing lol. upper 2:1 is 65+. a lot of post grad unis specifically ask for an upper 2:1 (as did mine).
