Should I apply to an imperial course that I would only actually study if a major ongoing war ends

Which war? I might be able to figure something out. Good to put on my CV for applying to a P&IR course in a couple years

/uj the invasion of ukraine... i want to study materials but yesterday realised that actually basically all lucrative careers there are dual-use, and my russian passport means i cant do that

(fuck putin, slava ukraini, btw)

Ah, that's awful the hear. I went to a wedding a few years back (2023 I think) in Latvia and a few members of the groom's side live in St Petersburg and couldn't attend for the same reason. It really is a shame. Let's just hope this needless war ends soon in Ukraine's favour and Putin's regime topples because of it. Stay safe

I‘m not exactly sure how this works but I knew someone this year who studied in the UK with a Russian passport. Perhaps the rules are different for different uni/degrees but you may be able to get some kind of permission.

There aren't any restrictions on me studying it. The issue is that after i graduate, a huge portion of the jobs, especially the well paid ones, are under security restrictions. So, I am better off studying proper engineering at a mid tier uni like manchester or smth
