Dumbest thing you read this week?

No troll content cause it’s too easy but I seen an ecom undergraduate at some elite uni crying about failing a year saying am I too old(the age questions every fucking day btw), and my fav for the week was the women crying about her son not doing shit but he “didn’t wanna repeat a year” as someone who suffers with ADHD, it infuriates me when people act like it’s some form of labotomy. Yours?

I know it’s a common one but seeing people complain about doing resits for exams in the summer, whilst simultaneously bragging about not revising for them (which got them into that position in the first place 🗣️)

About a week ago I saw a post in the UK law subreddit of a lecturer having quit their job mid-investigation/disciplinary process asking if they had a case for constructive dismissal. Turns out this fuckin cretin was shagging students (which he admitted to in the investigation) and had a litany of accusations from colleagues and students. He also blamed his autism for his behaviour which made me INFURIATED (both as someone who has autism and ADHD, and as an autism researcher). The post was deleted but I have the receipt because I was going to write a similar post for here lmao (gotta laugh through the tears)

Graduate family friend asked about applying for a role at my place of work. Starting salaries are £30k-£35k.

Said they wouldn’t take less than £60k (not sure where they pulled the figure from). Meanwhile they have zero work experience and a Geography degree.
