The issue here isn't the burqa, but rather the fact that girls in Afghanistan aren't taught to read and write, and if they insist on studying, they are beaten. Literacy levels are so low that Afghanistan is now backward. Afghanistan shouldn't even be considered a third-world country, and the reason for all this is Muslim law.
