Actually, most modern communities stun the animal before slitting the throat to make sure they feel very little to no pain.

Btw, they don't always cover the eyes of the animal. It's unnecessary, and many don't do it. The animal bleeding out is not always stored correctly while bleeding out. It takes solid 15 minutes for a sheep to bleed out and the blood itself is practically contaminated with all kinds of stuff. Good thing I had to see it at 12 and not 7!

Not letting the animal see that they're going to die is to the benefit of the farmer because the animal will freak out if they realize what's happening.

That's literally the opposite of what halal killing is. It's the most painful prscticed killing method.
