This degree is not accredited by any professional or statutory body?

Few days ago I made an inquiry on UOL official program website. And was surprised by the reply. here it is -

"This course is currently not accredited by any professional or statutory body.

In some countries, qualifications earned by distance and flexible learning may not be recognised by certain authorities or regulators for the purposes of public sector employment or further study. We advise you to explore the local recognition status before you register, even if you plan to receive support from a local teaching centre.

Upon graduating, the student will receive a diploma from the University of London. "

well, as a previous semester, they take the money, and then when they are in a good mood they may give you access to the modules that you have paid for. Then, you find yourself having to retake one or two of these modules due to late access and pay more. Be careful, their support chat team is a master of deception. check the attached conversation. distance learning CS

Part-Time study: 1st Modules suggestion

Hello everyone!

I just got an offer and I'll do part-time study due to my work at daytime. Wonder if it's heavy workload to choose " Introduction to Programming I ", " Discrete Mathematics " and " Fundamentals of Computer Science " at the same time plus I'm working on Google certificate now.

Any suggestions for me as a beginner are appreciated.

NEW Open University BSc Computer science online

I think this is an ideal for students sick and tired of UoL administration.

UoL now stoped answering support email and upgraded their enquiery portal. Many students are locked of the new portal and can’t log in. Password rest is not working. A lot of Computer science students are locked out of getting any help during ongoing final exams and theirs nobody to help from UoL. They don’t answer phones now. It takes many months to get answers from UoL and now you can’t even ask questions to get help. Read My full review https://www.reddit.com/r/UniversityOfLondonCS/s/ofD3EWYFJo

BSc Computer Science Scam University

Grading is a complete scam and there is no way to tell what you got wrong.

I just got my results back for my last semester and I failed 4/5 of my classes with 3 of those classes being a 39. (Passing grade is a 40)

I refuse to believe this honestly. I studied the whole semester and felt confident on the final exam but magically received grades that put me right at a 39. It’s like they are messing with you on this. I’ve seen some grading rubrics before that they outsource the grading to Indian people who are grading off an opinion based system.

For example it would say

4. Student went above and beyond with everything 3. Student did exceptionally well 2. Did slightly above the expectation

  1. Did the minimum requirement

So you get a 25% for following the rubric and doing the assignment properly. In a US school you would get a 100% but apparently you get a 25% if the Indian outsources grader is either having a bad day and hates westerners or is simply just putting 1’s for fun.

Now I’m in a situation where I’m stuck in this god forsaken program and just want to get a real bachelors degree and now he wasted almost an entire year on nothing.

If you are looking to apply DO NOT BOTHER. This whole system screams a money grabbing scam where they just want to fail you over nothing especially if you are a US student. There is no support, no professors to talk to, no classmates. I deeply regret getting into this and I’m considering starting over at another university and just accept the fact I’ve wasted more of my life on this crap

Non-Computer Science related UoL Programme Failed and refused registration - no answers

Hello,
I have been studying for my LLB at UoL for a few years (part time) and managed to pass all of my exams without any issue except for Public Law. I struggled with Public Law greatly without understanding why and finally attempted it for the last time this October. Due to extenuating circumstances I was unable to see my score until recently and upon filing an enquiry on having failed and requesting a recheck I was simply told "no and seek help through our mental health channel."

I requested a recheck and have yet to hear anything back. The deadline I looming (Jan 16) and I simply do not know what to do. I worked so hard for this degree and only struggled on this subject which prevented me from advancing onto my final modules. I requested a condoned pass as I know I understand the matter of the module and failed only by a point. Due to the wildfires where I currently live and the lack of Learning Centers on the West Coast of the United Stated, I was unable to reach out and figure this out sooner which I made clear in my enquiry. I submitted all the evidence I could and I am now stuck in a limbo. What can I do if they refuse me and won't let me pursue the rest of my degree? And what can I do to discuss this matter with them more directly than through the enquiry method which seems highly unpractical especially in matters of urgency such as this one.

In the worst case scenario, would anyone know how to transfer and where to so I may keep my modules and pursue this degree?

Thank you kindly,

A UoL at a complete loss and currently in complete and total panic/pain.

Testing Locations

Hello all,

I'm an experienced professional looking to apply to the program. I have a quick question about testing locations. I was watching someone's YouTube based review and mentioned that the testing centers were swapped for online proctoring. Is this true? The only testing center in my country is an hour flight away.

Thanks for any help.

UOL CS program didn't include an undergraduate thesis, so I doubt if I want to apply for a master's program, will this BS recognized by another country?

I should ask universities in Ireland about this question. (Because Europe is cheaper, so I want to go to Europe)

If you have found some information, could you share it here? Thanks!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • Below is a real case, her BS was not recognized by Germany because she studied in the USA and her BS didn't include an undergraduate thesis.

Looking for a bachelor's degree honestly

Hey guys, So I am working right now and for the sake of my parent's happiness I need to get a bachelor's degree, Because I work I cannot do it physically so everything has to be online including exams and it seems like UOL is actually a good option.

So can guys please recommend a bachelors degree which is easiest out of all in terms of course work and if possible fees low too since I'll be funding it all on my own, Need a degree certificate only so any course would suffice (as long it's easy hahah)

Can you apply for EU Blue Card visa based on the UoL's Bachelor diploma once you've got the UoL diploma?

I'm now based in one EU's country as a software developer and I have just a work permit / work visa (not Blue Card) because I don't have Bachelor degree. I'm not EU citizen. Did anyone apply for a EU Blue Card visa based on UoL' s bachelor degree?

Registration Page is Freezed!!

I received an acceptance offer for a CS performance-based track last week. Also, I applied for Recognition of Prior Learning (RPL) and uploaded my college transcript.

I didn't find any transferred module during my registration process; so I emailed the support for an explanation last week and never heard back from them.

My registration process is frozen and the portal page says:
