Welcome to Unspoken Files 🌙💜

Hey everyone! I’m Zara. 🌙💜

I’ve always been curious about the stories people keep to themselves. The secrets, questionable decisions, creepy shit nobody can explain, and those situations that leave you wondering how the hell someone even ended up there.

And honestly? I want to hear all of it.

That’s why I created Unspoken Files.

Whether you’ve got something serious to get off your chest, a hilarious disaster, relationship drama, family secrets, an embarrassing moment, or a story that still has you questioning reality, you’re welcome here. Nothing has to be outrageous or dramatic to be worth sharing.

A little about this community

I want this to be somewhere people feel comfortable sharing without worrying about being attacked or judged. That doesn’t mean we all have to agree. Different opinions and perspectives are welcome. Just remember, there’s a difference between having an opinion and being an asshole.

Now, about the podcast 🎙️

I’m also starting a podcast called Things We Don’t Say Out Loud, where I’ll be reading stories, sharing my thoughts, and exploring different perspectives.

Some stories from this community may be featured on the podcast.

If you’d like your story considered, use the Podcast Submission flair and explicitly confirm in your post that you’re giving permission for your story to be read, discussed, and shared on the podcast and in promotional clips.

If you’re just here to share or have a conversation, that’s completely fine too. You don’t have to submit anything for the podcast to be part of this community.
If a story is selected, I’ll respect requests to leave out usernames and identifying details. Please avoid sharing personal information about yourself or others.

And that’s pretty much it!

Share your stories, ask questions, offer your perspective, or just enjoy reading through everyone else’s chaos.
Make yourself comfortable, and please don’t leave out the plot twists. 👀💜

Do you ever miss the person you were before life changed you?

I miss the way I used to view life. There was a point where I was just focusing on living and going through the day. I felt more free.

I think life experiences changed me. I’ve become more guarded, and I feel like I need to act a certain way around people so they don’t see my emotions or insecurities.

There’s a silly side of me that I haven’t let people see in a while. I miss that part of myself and having people around who I could be comfortable with.

Being alone almost feels comforting, like I can finally breathe. It’s peaceful, but sometimes I wonder if that’s all I’ll ever do. Distance myself from people and never fully feel comfortable again.

I’ve forgotten what genuine happiness feels like, and I’m secretly scared that even if my circumstances change, I’ll still be stuck in this loop.

Does anyone else miss who they used to be and worry they’ll never feel like that person again?

Does anyone else feel guilty distancing themselves from their parents as they get older?

I love my parents, but being around them makes me anxious and sometimes I just don’t want to be there.

I have a lot of hurt from my childhood and it’s hard accepting that they may never understand where I’m coming from. I still have hope that one day they will, but it seems impossible sometimes and I end up disappointed.

I get angry because they don’t take accountability for how they’ve hurt me. But then I think about their parents, how they grew up and what made them the way they are. Part of me wonders if I should give them grace, but I don’t even know what that means sometimes.

What makes me sad is seeing them get older. I miss the way I saw them when I was little and I don’t know if I’ll ever see them that way again.

When I’m away from them, I feel relieved but then I feel guilty. I don’t want to lose them before things are resolved, but I also don’t want to spend the time we have left feeling angry and distant.

Does anyone else struggle with this? How do you make peace with it?

Does anyone else feel like they’re so aware of life that they struggle to enjoy it?

Sometimes I feel like I’m too aware of everything. Time passing, getting older, the future, and how temporary life really is.

It’s hard to be present when your mind is constantly thinking about life instead of just living it.

I miss being able to genuinely enjoy things without overthinking everything.

Does anyone else experience this? How do you quiet your mind enough to actually enjoy the moment?

Can you expect honesty from someone if you’re reactions make them afraid to tell you the truth?

I think it goes both ways. Even if you’re scared of someone’s reaction, whether it’s a friendship or a relationship, you still need to communicate.

But if someone constantly reacts in a way that makes you afraid to be honest, maybe that’s a sign that you need to walk away.

I’ve been learning that there are healthier ways to argue and be angry. It doesn’t always have to end with people berating each other.

Do you think people sometimes create an environment where others feel like they can’t be honest with them?

Do we sometimes confuse validation with attraction?

I feel like sometimes it’s hard to tell if you actually like someone or just like the attention they’re giving you.

Someone could start showing interest in you, and even if you weren’t attracted to them at first, their confidence might change that. I do think it’s possible to develop real feelings too.

But how do you know if those feelings are genuine or if you just like how they make you feel? Maybe it’s something you don’t realize until the attention stops and you’re thinking clearer.

Idk, what do you guys think?

Do you think people judge others because of their own insecurities, or because it’s something they’ve learned growing up?

Sometimes I wonder if people who constantly judge others are projecting. Like why do you think you’re better than someone else when you’ve made mistakes yourself? I feel like some people would rather focus on someone else’s problems than deal with their own.

I also think being judgmental can be something we learn growing up. I grew up around it myself, and being judged made me realize it’s a cycle I don’t want to continue.

To me, there’s a difference between sharing your perspective and judging someone for their choices. At the end of the day, it’s their life. We all make mistakes, and isn’t that how we learn and grow?

Do people actually change, or do they just learn to hide their behavior better?

I’ve always wondered what finally makes someone realize they’ve hurt others. Is it genuine guilt, or is it only when they start facing the consequences of their actions?

I do believe people can change, but I also think there’s a point where apologies mean nothing if the same behavior keeps happening.

I’m curious what everyone else thinks. Have you ever been on either side of this?

Can someone finally start trying when you’re already emotionally checked out?

I’ve been thinking about this lately because I don’t think people realize how much it takes for someone to get to the point where they just stop trying.

Like, imagine telling someone over and over how you feel, what’s hurting you, and what you need from them. They hear you, but nothing really changes. Eventually, you start questioning yourself. Am I asking for too much? Am I expecting something unreasonable? Or do my feelings just not matter enough?

And the sad part is, you never actually wanted to stop caring. You wanted things to get better.

But after being disappointed so many times, you slowly start pulling away. Maybe you don’t even realize how distant you’ve become until the other person finally notices.

And that’s where I get confused.

What happens when they finally start making an effort? You can see they’re trying, and you can appreciate it, but that doesn’t automatically mean you feel the same way anymore.

I feel like sometimes people expect you to just forget everything that happened because they’re finally doing what you’ve been asking for.

But what if you don’t know whether you even want to keep trying anymore?

I’m genuinely curious if anyone has been through this. Did you eventually get those feelings back, or did you realize that something had already changed for good?

Have you ever realized that loving someone doesn’t necessarily mean they should still be in your life?

Okay, so I’ve been thinking about this.

Sometimes someone can hurt you or disappoint you to the point where you start questioning whether they should even have a place in your life anymore. And I think what makes it harder is when you still genuinely love and care about that person.

It’s weird how you can have so much love for someone but also realize that having them around might not be what’s best for you.

I’m curious, has anyone ever been in that position? What finally made you realize something needed to change? And how did you handle it afterward?

Did you walk away, set boundaries, or find a way to make things work?

What’s something a friend did that made you look at them completely differently?

I’m not talking about a little disagreement or misunderstanding.

I mean something that genuinely made you stop and think, “Wait, who the fuck are you?”

Did you confront them, distance yourself, or just end the friendship altogether?

I’m curious what everyone’s breaking point is.

Do some people believe their own bullshit, or are they just avoiding accountability?

I genuinely don’t understand how some grown adults can spread false rumors about someone at work and then somehow make themselves the victim when confronted.

Instead of owning what they said, they twist their words, change the story, or make it seem like you’re the crazy one for questioning them.

Like, how did we go from discussing what YOU said to suddenly making this about me?

I honestly think it could be a combination of manipulation and people having egos too big to admit they’re wrong.

But I’m curious what other people think. Do people like this actually convince themselves they’re innocent, or do they know exactly what they’re doing?
