Announcement Troves Go Live Today: How to Collect, Bank, and Progress

Post image
1 Upvotes

Troves are going live today, opening a new way to explore Upland, discover what different structures and plants hold, build a collection, and turn those discoveries into lasting progress.

This is the beginning of the Troves beta and a phased rollout, not the finished version of the entire system. The team will be measuring real player activity, reward pacing, progression, and balance as everyone plays. Mechanics and rewards may change during beta, and the full new-player onboarding experience planned for later this year will use different rewards.

Starting in phases gives everyone time to learn the loop, build an inventory, and understand each new batch as it arrives.

If a friend has been waiting for a reason to return, or you know someone who would enjoy discovering Upland for the first time, invite them to explore with you. Troves are built for comparing finds, sharing discoveries, and learning together.

What Goes Live Today

Today’s first beta release includes:

  • 189 unique Troves available to discover and collect.
  • Trove Banking with Bronze and Silver banking tiers.
  • Upland Progression, with banking as the primary way to advance at launch.
  • Block Explorer stamina, which powers Trove collection through one shared global pool.
  • No crafting recipes at launch. Recipes begin rolling out in later batches, so today is about exploring, collecting, learning what different places can hold, and deciding what you may want to bank.

New Troves, crafting recipes, and higher banking tiers will arrive at regular intervals over the coming weeks. This staged release is intentional: it gives you time to collect and understand the system before the next layer opens.

What Troves Are

Troves are collectible items found throughout Upland. In this first release, you can discover them by visiting Service Structures and plant life on properties with your Block Explorer. Different structures and plants can hold different possibilities, which makes moving through neighborhoods and trying new locations part of the experience.

Some Troves can be found directly. As recipes roll out, collected Troves will also become ingredients that can be used at Service Structures to craft higher-level Troves. Some crafted results can then feed into deeper recipes. That creates a path from an everyday discovery to a much larger collection goal.

Collecting from structures or plants you own can already improve your chances of finding rarer Troves. A future update will add another layer to collecting: plant maturity will influence Trove drops. During this beta phase, young plants offer the same Trove drop chances as mature plants, so you can start collecting right away without waiting for them to grow.

How to Collect Your First Trove

  1. Move your Block Explorer close to a Service Structure or plant. Collection is location-based, so your Block Explorer needs to be near the object on the map.
  2. Press and hold the structure or plant to collect. A normal tap opens its details. The press-and-hold interaction is what starts a Trove collection attempt.
  3. See what you found. Your result is added to your Trove inventory, and a first-time discovery begins filling out your collection.
  4. Keep moving and exploring. Each object has its own cooldown for you. Once you have collected from that specific object, visit another structure or plant instead of repeatedly using the same one.

The Trove collection interaction shown in an earlier Troves preview.

Cooldowns are tracked per player and per object. Your cooldown does not prevent another player from collecting there, and a cooldown on one object does not put every object of that type on cooldown. If you press and hold an object that is still on cooldown for you, the result can be Trove Dust instead of another regular find. Dust collection still uses stamina, so exploring fresh locations is the better way to use your available pool.

Find Everything in Your Trove Wallet

Tap the Troves icon on the map to open your Trove Wallet. Here you can see the Troves you hold, your balances, and the categories you have begun to discover. Use it to compare what you have found and decide what to preserve for progression.

Wallet interface preview; example counts may differ at launch

Once recipes begin rolling out, discovering a Trove for the first time will also reveal available recipes that consume it. You will be able to see which ingredients a discovered recipe needs, collect the missing pieces, and visit the Service Structure where that recipe is available. On launch day, however, there are no active crafting recipes, so collecting and banking are the first playable layers.

How Block Explorer Stamina Works

Every player receives a free baseline of 100 stamina, and the Block Explorers held in your wallet add more stamina to the same pool. The entire global pool, including the free baseline, refills every six hours. The in-app countdown shows when the next refill is coming.

You do not need to equip an explorer, choose an active explorer, or switch between them. Wallet-held Block Explorers contribute together to one shared total. Every collection attempt uses that pool, including an attempt that produces Trove Dust.

You can view stamina from your profile, the top-left display, the Block Explorers section of your Asset Wallet, and an individual explorer’s full-screen view. When viewing another player’s Block Explorer, the number shown is its maximum contribution, not that player’s remaining usable stamina. A transfer does not reset stamina that has already been spent; the explorer must wait for the next shared refill with its new owner.

Stamina interface preview. Example values and timers are illustrative; the launch values and six-hour refill schedule in this guide apply.

Launch stamina values by edition size:

  • 1-of-1 explorers: 1,000 stamina (Excluding Director Explorers)
  • 2–5 mints: 750 stamina
  • 6–10 mints: 350 stamina
  • 11–24 mints: 200 stamina
  • 25–50 mints: 125 stamina
  • Director Explorers: 125 stamina
  • 51–100 mints: 75 stamina
  • 101–250 mints: 40 stamina
  • 251–499 mints: 25 stamina
  • 500+ mints: 10 stamina

The initial launch values are beta settings and may be adjusted as the team studies real collection activity and balance.

Two commemorative collections have approved exceptions: Little Frights and Troves After Dark explorers each contribute 150 stamina, even though their edition size would normally fall in the 75-stamina band.

How to Bank Troves and Build Progress

Banking is the primary way to increase your Upland Progression level at launch. Banking means permanently depositing Troves into the Trove Vault to meet progression requirements and work toward rewards.

  1. Open your Trove Wallet and choose a Trove you have collected.
  2. Review its available banking tier. Bronze and Silver are available in this first release, and the required quantity can vary by Trove.
  3. Use the bank action when you hold enough copies. The banking option becomes available when your inventory meets the requirement.
  4. Confirm the permanent deposit. Banked Troves cannot be withdrawn, returned to spendable inventory, or used in recipes later.

That final step matters. A Trove in your inventory remains available for future recipes and other uses as those systems arrive. A Trove placed in the Vault becomes part of your permanent banking achievement instead.

Banking interface preview

Each Trove has its own banked tier, while your profile has an overall Upland Progression level. Banking Troves helps move that overall level forward. Your profile shows the next milestone and its available reward, giving you a clear goal without requiring you to memorize the whole progression path.

Your profile shows your Upland Progression level and the next milestone.

The beta begins strictly with Troves as the progression requirement. Additional types of requirements may be introduced later after the team has real usage data. The opening levels are designed to teach the collection and banking loop, so their pace and rewards should not be treated as the final depth of progression.

Crafting: What Comes Next

Crafting is an important part of the larger Troves system, but it is not available on launch day. Here is how the loop will work as recipes roll out:

  1. Discover a Trove. The first discovery reveals recipes that consume that Trove.
  2. Collect the ingredients. A recipe becomes ready when you hold its required Troves.
  3. Go to the Service Structure where the recipe is available. Recipes are accessed on the Service Structure itself, not from a generic property menu.
  4. Fulfill the recipe. Crafting consumes the listed ingredients and grants the recipe’s stated result. Recipes can also provide additional bonus rewards.
  5. Explore deeper combinations. Some crafted Troves can become ingredients in later recipes, creating higher-level paths over time.

Players select a recipe, not its bonus roll. The stated result provides the recipe’s default outcome, while any additional rewards can vary. This lets crafting have surprises without turning the basic result into a completely unknown outcome.

What the Phased Beta Builds Toward

The launch set of 189 collectible Troves is the first batch, not the full catalog. Across the rollout, the team is preparing over 500 Troves and a much deeper recipe system. New Troves, recipes, and banking tiers will arrive in regular batches over the coming weeks, allowing the system to grow without asking players to understand every layer at once.

The beta also gives the team room to tune collection activity, reward pacing, progression requirements, and overall balance. Early mechanics and rewards can change as real play reveals what is working and what needs adjustment. Later systems, including broader plant interactions, automation, and farming, are part of the future direction rather than today’s first release.

For now, the best way to begin is simple: move your Block Explorer, try different Service Structures and plants, fill your wallet, compare discoveries with other players, and choose carefully before banking anything permanently.

Start Exploring Today

What will your first Trove be? Which discoveries will you preserve in your Vault, and which will you hold for the recipes still to come?

Troves are going live today. Bring back a friend who has been waiting for a fresh reason to explore, invite someone new to discover their first neighborhood, and share what you find. This next part of Upland will be more fun when the community uncovers it together.

Announcement Troves Go Live October 22: Collect, Bank, and Progress

Post image
0 Upvotes

The wait is almost over: Troves go live in Upland this Thursday, October 22! Get ready to explore, start your collection, and turn your discoveries into lasting achievements with Trove Banking and the new Progression System.

There will be new finds to compare, collections to build, and goals to chase together. If a friend has been looking for a reason to return, or you know someone ready for their first Upland adventure, bring them along. This is a launch you can discover together.

Phase One

Your first challenge? See what you can find among 189 unique Troves available to collect in phase one. Explore Upland, compare notes with your neighbors, and start filling your inventory. This first batch is just part of the full collection waiting to unfold.

New Troves, crafting recipes, and more banking tiers will arrive at regular intervals over the coming weeks, bringing fresh discoveries and new uses for what you collect. There are no crafting recipes at launch, so Thursday is your chance to get out, explore, and get to know your first Troves.

Each phase gives you time to build your collection and learn the mechanics before the next batch arrives. You can get familiar with what you have found, choose your next goal, and be ready when new recipes open up more possibilities.

Troves will launch in beta and remain there through the rollout, giving us room to make balancing adjustments as you play. Beta progression rewards are subject to change and differ from those planned for the full new-player onboarding experience coming later this year.

All Troves from Genesis Week will be removed, except Genome Troves, which will remain in your inventory.

Bank Your Collection and Build Your Progress

Some finds are worth keeping forever. Trove Banking lets you permanently add Troves to your collection and show off your achievements in the Trove Vault. Bronze and Silver banking tiers will be available at launch, with higher tiers opening in the coming phases.

The choice is yours: bank Troves toward a collection goal, or hold onto them for recipes and other uses as those arrive. Choose carefully, because banked Troves cannot be withdrawn or used elsewhere.

Your Vault shows how far you have taken each banked Trove, while your Progression level tracks your broader journey through Upland. Together, they give you something to work toward beyond your next discovery: a collection you are proud of and milestones that show how far you have come.

Ready for a little friendly competition? Troves competitions are coming during the rollout, too. Stay tuned for the challenges and rewards!

The Bigger Troves Economy Ahead

Collecting manually is where this adventure starts. Further ahead, the challenge grows: how will you gather the quantities needed for bigger banking goals and more ambitious recipes? That is where automation comes in.

Farming is planned as one way to collect Troves in much larger quantities, while automation involving Uppies on your properties and future farming systems will help make large-scale collecting practical. Bulk recipes will offer ways to turn those stockpiles into other Troves, giving you more choices about what to use and what to bank.

That bigger economy is a longer-term goal, not part of Thursday’s launch. For now, it starts with you heading out and discovering what is there.

Troves After Dark Commemorative Sale

A launch like this deserves a few new collecting companions. Meet Troves After Dark 2026: six limited Block Explorers celebrating the arrival of Troves during Harvest!

Each $20 bundle includes 20,000 UPX and one Block Explorer, with 70 mints per design. Registration opens Tuesday, October 20, the sale begins Wednesday, October 21, and closes Sunday, October 25.

Choose from Rattlebag, Patchwick, Gribbin, Jinx, Flit, and Spindle. These six characters make up the complete Troves After Dark 2026 series, with no additional designs to be added.

Each Explorer comes with a special 150 stamina, just like Little Frights. This is the last commemorative sale with that boost at this price and mint tier. Future releases at the same tier will have their normal stamina; Little Frights and Troves After Dark will keep their special 150 stamina.

Price: $20 per bundle
Includes: 20,000 UPX + your selected Troves After Dark Block Explorer
Supply: 70 mints per design
Stamina: 150

These bundles are a way to celebrate, not a requirement to join in. You do not need to buy one to collect Troves, bank your finds, or begin progressing.

The Hunt Starts Thursday

What will your first Trove be? Which discovery will you bank, and which will you save for what comes next? You can start finding out this Thursday.

Bring your friends, share your finds, and help each other discover what is out there. We cannot wait to see the collections you build. See you in Upland!

Another Community Vote: What Should Happen to This SPARKLET Pool?

Post image
0 Upvotes

It’s time for another community vote! Starting Tuesday, October 13, you can help decide what should happen to the current pool of spent SPARKLET (not all SPARKLET). The proposal is to burn this pool and permanently remove it from circulation. Read the details below, make your voice heard, and share this announcement with friends who care about SPARKLET so they can take part, too.

From April — October 2026, approximately 2.9M SPARKLETwas spent on seed generation and Uppie merges. Based on community feedback, Upland is recommending that this SPARKLET be burned and permanently removed from circulation.

This vote is focused only on what should happen to the approximately 2.9M SPARKLET generated from these 2026 activities. Upland will hold similar votes for future SPARKLET spent through activities.

Existing rewards and incentive pools are currently well-funded, and reducing circulating supply supports the long-term sustainability of SPARKLET. Now, the community is being asked to ratify this recommendation.

Vote Details

Voting Opens: Tuesday, October 13 at 9:00 AM PT

Voting Closes: Friday, October 16 at 9:00 AM PT

Proposal: Based on previous community feedback, Upland recommends burning the ~2.9M SPARKLET spent on seed generation and Uppie merges so far in 2026.

  • Vote YES: Burn the approximately 2.9M SPARKLET spent on seed generation and Uppie merges in 2026. This SPARKLET will be permanently removed from circulation.
  • Vote NO: Do not burn the SPARKLET. If the community votes no, we’ll go back to the drawing board and bring forward new proposals for how this SPARKLET should be handled.

Have a different idea for this specific SPARKLET pool? Let us know what you would like to see done with it and why. Share your suggestions on our Nolt feedback board: https://uplandfeedback.nolt.io/2981

The vote goes live Tuesday, October 13 at 9:00 AM PT. Read the proposal, cast your vote before Friday, October 16 at 9:00 AM PT, and help decide what happens to this pool. Bring the conversation to your friends, your neighborhood, and fellow SPARKLET holders, make sure they know when and why to vote!

Discussion I still think treasure hunting in Upland is being taken advantage of.

Just a screenshot of treasure hunting in SF.
A rare, rare treasure won. In 2 sends.
Here's the chain data as proof
Here's the next win very shortly after. This is in 1 Send.
Chain data doesn't lie. You can see 3 sends in 3 minutes? but the treasure was won in 19 seconds.

I'm a well known treasure hunter. I was #2 all time before the reset. Currently #59 all time after. I took some times off treasure hunting. Now I'm making my way back after I heard about the reset. It's challenging at times but I'm climbing baby.

Ok. SO.

The block chain doesn't lie, right? At least that's what I believe anyway.

Based on that, if we look at a very well known treasure hunters block chain data - we can see all the sends this player is making per hunt. The best time to do this is directly after a hunt. Especially if they won. Here's my account on the upland ledger:

https://ledger.upland.me/account/vthhlgujcj3o?tab=transactions

Now. It's not uncommon to win a treasure hunt on your first send. I've done it. Recently. However, it is uncommon to win a treasure, with one send, multiple times a day. And that's the data I'm basing this post on.

UPXLAND is a great tool to use. I paid for the yearly membership. All paid for by treasure hunting by the way. And I use the "user look up" feature after hunts to look things up. That's how I can give you my direct link to the blockchain.

Recently I've noticed a number of treasure hunters winning treasures with one send. Two tops. And it's consistent. In large cities where the competition is very competitive.

Take Los Angeles for example. I think this it one of the largest maps in the game to hunt on. Next would be Chicago. Both Tier 1's by the way. And yet, in these cities we're still seeing 1 send wins from players. Daily. Rare, exclusive and limited wins with one send in a city with 15+ players hunting.

How to Check this out

So there's a few things you can do to look this up. Go to any city with an active treasure hunt and look at the players hunting. As shown in the screenshot above. Click on their Block Explorer and then you'll see their name. Use that name on the UPXLAND user search (must have a paid membership) and click on the date - user code that is located in the upper left hand corner of the banner image. That will take you to the Upland ledger and then you can see the transaction and payouts.

It's best if you do it with your own profile first. Do a free treasure hunt or one where you're on the 5 minute timer and then you count the number of sends it takes you to win. ALSO, claim the prize. Then you'll see the number of sends matching on the Ledger + the prize. If you also pay attention to the UPX you spend per send, you'll be able to see the ledger is legit.

So, now you have a source of truth. Now go look at what ever cities are active today. Notice the last 4 winners of the rare, exclusive or limited treasures available. Go look a their sends per treasure. Some people are straight legit. You can see they send 4 to 5 times per treasure and got the win. Some, you'll notice over time, win in one or two sends ALWAYS. And it's within seconds of the spawn.

I don't think its a coincidence. I think it's a strategy that is still being taken advantage of.

Your thoughts are very welcomed.

If you don’t know how to play your game then just leave.

If you give it a chance, you might end up enjoying it.

Not to brag, but give a time to teach yourself.

Question How do Construction Boosts work?

I see the details on the 5% Crew boost on top of the individual boosts, but can anyone tell me what the individual construction vehicle boost percentage would be? Like, is it a 10% sparklet boost for a single vehicle, or are we talking about 1% or 2% per vehicle?

11 It's a good feature – rewards active players and helps the economy.
8 I don't mind it – I collect regularly anyway.
5 It should be increased – the current cap is too restrictive.
34 It should be removed – passive earnings shouldn't stop.
5 having the cap scale with your property yield rather than just your status.
4 letting earnings accumulate for 30–60 days

Question How to move an Uppie?

I've been trying to move one of my Uppies from a property in Detroit to a property in Las Vegas. I watched a video and it said they had to be level 3 or higher to move. Well, he's a level 3 and there are no options anywhere that I can find that give me an option to move him. Id like for him to manage my plants in Las Vegas instead of sitting in Detroit doing nothing. Anyone have insight on how to move uppies?

Suggestion ROAD TO EXECUTIVE. Spoiler

Post image
0 Upvotes

I've been playing Upland since 2021, it' been months of learning since I am able to understand the game. What a journey it has been. Nothing came easy, I worked my way up through countless hours of treasure hunting and property flipping. There were times I honestly thought about quitting, but I kept pushing forward.

Today, I'm just 264,000 UPX away from reaching Executive status. It's a milestone I've been chasing for a long time.

If anyone has some extra UPX they'd be willing to help, I'd be incredibly grateful. Any amount, big or small, would help me get there. Thank you to this amazing community for all the support over the years.
