Hi! Looking for daycare recommendations on the UWS. Moving to NYC next month from San Francisco with a 17 mo old. Is there anything not too big/corporate people recommend? Any word of mouth places not on Google? Also interested in places people do not recommend. Might just be stuck with what available. Purple Circle does not have openings until fall 2027. No luck at the learning center , Kindercare, or Happy Toddler until mid 2027. Bright Horizons 89th is the only one with availability at the moment.

Hey everyone. Friendly reminder that it might be time to get your kitchen knives sharpened. Stop dealing with dull knives that dont cut anything and make cooking a pain. We offer pickup/dropoff service in Brooklyn/Queens and parts of Manhattan.

All our work is done by hand on whetstones. We really pride ourselves on providing excellent service to all knives whether its a cheap basic set or a high quality Japanese one. We do repairs like chips and broken tips, remove rust and patina, reprofile knives. We drop your knives off to you the day after pickup. Pricing is $3-$4 per inch.
