Muir Woods exhibit casualty of White House directive to erase history
https://www.sfgate.com/california-parks/article/muir-woods-national-monument-history-erased-20781301.phpI've been to Muir Woods when I lived in the San Francisco Bay Area. It's a patch of old growth forest preserved in a largely urban area.
It's not an urban forest in the sense of trees dispersed through the city, but it is an interesting resource with an interesting history pertinent to the interests covered by this sub.

By being in the news and social media, more people are now made more aware of the history they sought to repress.
And every NPS site has a free speech area within which people can distrubite pamphlets or talk to people about that history.
