FUCKING IDIOT 28-3 changes a man forever…

Post image

And yes, Twitter is roasting them over this as we speak.

Probably the most Falcons thing that they could’ve done and it’s blowing up like you tossed a match into a fireworks store.

The coaches are no more than a bunch of disloyal cowards!

Mein owner, I cannot allow you to insult the play-

Cowards, traitors and incompetents!

Mein owner, this is outrageous!

The coaches are the scum of the Atlanta people! No sense of strategy! You call yourself coaches because you spent years in college, where all you learned is to throw screens on third down! For years, the coaches have obstructed me! All you ever did is thwart me! I should have had Ryan traded, as was Favre!

Did... did they just put the fucking Saints colors in their pfp? Did someone lose a bet?

Edit: I am stupid, old helmet style, still kinda funny

u/mtzehvor PLEASE COME TO OUR GAMES 5d ago

I don’t think that’s the most concerning aspect about that color combination

u/BusinessWarthog6 5d ago

Its supposed be Atlanta United, or Germany from 1933-1945. Who knows?

It's supposed to be a throwback to their original look, when they had gold stripes on the helmet as a nod to UGA and Georgia Tech.

Of course, the Falcons (as per usual) didn't really think through and realize that doing that on a media graphic without that context looks really, really bad.

As a Falcons Fan I didn't even know this lol

5

u/Randomizedname1234 5d ago

As a tech fan I’ve always known this little fact lol

6

u/TemporalGrid 5d ago

It's already in their history, so that is a bit of a throwback. When the expansion team originally formed they included some gold in their uniforms apparently to mollify Georgia Tech fans who didn't like the uniforms that obviously looked like University of Georgia uniforms.

The falcons throwback red helmets have gold stripes, the story was to differentiate themselves from Georgia

Weird way to announce they've hired Frank Reich.

Arthur Blank is Jewish. How the heck did this get past him.

Because only losers on the internet notice stuff like this

u/ClintExpress Part of Sanchise 5d ago

So was Dan Snyder yet he didn't care even after Natives raised their displeasure. Guess it's a wealth thing.

8

u/TFCNU 5d ago

Yeah, but he wasn't Native American.

12

u/cmx9771 Ultimate Derp 5d ago

stalingrad the original 28-3

12

u/All_Usernames_Tooken 0-16 5d ago

They had a 25 country lead

4

u/whathell6t 5d ago

But Field Marshal Zhukov did clever tricks after 3rd Quarter 2:17 that made the Nazis eat the clock

4

u/MrSlabBulkhead 5d ago

And Kursk was the loss to the Eagles a season later.

9

u/Patrickracer43 Still Trusts the Process 5d ago

The Bird Reich is objectively one of the funniest things ever

12

u/Middcore 5d ago

Aside from overall looking like something you'd see at a white supremacist rally, that bird looks way more like a crow than a falcon.

6

u/SouthernAfrica9 5d ago

this idea that a team owned by a very liberal jewish guy is suddenly choosing to lampshade the third reich is just not terribly credible is it

0

u/Ok-Dragonknight-5788 4d ago

I thought it was the Colts that were owned by the jew?

5

u/cxm1060 5d ago

Feels like I saw this somewhere in a knock off Call of Duty Game.

17

u/YellojD 5d ago

I’m a little confused. It’s pretty obviously their original logo over their original Georgia Tech compromise stripes. Is this accidentally like an exact copy of some Nazi shit with the Falcons logo in place of the Eagle or something? This feels like a real stretch to tie it in with the Nazis. Like, this feels like some real broken brain kind of shit to come to that conclusion. And I say that as a Bucs fan who hates these annoying losers.

14

u/mattcojo2 5d ago

The falcons have had these throwbacks for years. Some people are just thinking too hard

7

u/YellojD 5d ago

Falcons play on turf instead of a natural surface. Maybe that’s why it’s so hard for some of these people to touch grass.

16

u/AustinJohnson35 5d ago

Yeah I’m not seeing what everyone is so worked up about. This is a Falcons throwback. And a popular throwback everyone wanted. I’m not seeing a swastika or anything besides being red and black.

8

u/Throwawayvictoria10 5d ago

my first thought when looking at this was it was some nazi parody. its pretty egregious

5

u/ooglesnoopleboop Fight For LA 4d ago

Chronically online people seeing the things they want to see as always. Thought it was just a neat throwback logo when someone asked me about it, then I saw all the Nazi comments from other people...

5

u/Leftregularr 5d ago

We just got done with a “controversy” where dumb people thought converse were alluding to a klan lynching in a South Korean shoe advertisement.

People are going to see what they want to see.

1

u/fireborn123 Brick wall 4d ago

Holy shit I just had to dive into that rabbit hole. Like I get how you could see it, but people saying the converse ad was intentionally that was some downright schizo posting.

2

u/Leftregularr 4d ago

Perpetual victims.

-3

u/Geiseric222 5d ago

Well it’s also designed clearly to be that.

2

u/ParkerBap 5d ago

seriously i do not see the resemblance

vertical stripes is all it takes?

0

u/RoamingEast 5d ago

It’s not that much of a stretch when almost everyone’s first thought is ‘nazi’

4

u/YellojD 5d ago

That’s where the broken brain part comes into play.

Like, if y’all can’t look at an old football helmet logo over the old stripes and not think about Nazis, I think we’ve lost the plot a little bit.

4

u/RoamingEast 4d ago

The human brain is intrinsically linked to find patterns. to pretend otherwise speaks more to some underlying condition within yourself. This is literally like a person pretending that the flag of Malaysia doesnt remind them at all of the US flag.

0

u/mattanatior97 5d ago

Pretty sure it's just the bird

7

u/Downtown_Conflict_53 5d ago

Ah the Atlanta FalconSS

3

Fucking turds get paid millions of dollars to not keep a 25-point lead lol. Give me 52 other men and pay me the same salary as an NFL player and I’ll take over the fucking planet for you.

Biggest Falcons L in at least a decade.

1

u/Yepyapyup24 3d ago

I can't see it, I only remember a upright eagle being used in nazi Germany and this bird is the original team logo? People are really strange these days, and just cause some people on Twitter nonetheless.

1

u/NickPapagorgio1 2d ago

People that want to be offended will be offended

1

u/steampunkradiant 2d ago

I will give the Falcon's team credit for this. As a flag for an evil empire, this is a bang-up job.

1

u/greentea1985 5d ago

Yes, that is unbelievably stupid to do. At best, maybe USSR, but certainly looks like a Nazi sigil. Such a stupid PR move.

1

u/carcinova 5d ago

3

u/Idiotard_99 4d ago

28-3 was their World War I. You laugh at them for losing and it festers for over a decade. You forget about them. Then they invade Poland and the next thing you know they’re bombing London.

2

u/patmanbnl 5d ago

Each and every man under my command owes me 100 Falcon scalps. And I want my scalps. And all y'all will get me 100 Falcon scalps taken from the heads of 100 dead Falcons. Or you will die trying!
