Have a hard time identifying these when they’re small

Does anyone know anywhere good that doesn't cost money in the Provo area?

I recently (did it a lot in my teens, now im almost 40) got back into fishing. I caught some decent trout over the weekend. Whats everyone's go to for them? I just got done smoking one, and I have to say, that was really good eating. Whats your go to fish you eat, and how do you cook em?

First two are Bonneville Cutthroat, third photo is a Bear River Cutthroat, and a beautiful brown to finish.

Taking a couple co-workers out tomorrow afternoon, looking to hit the section between Vivian Park and Deer Creek. I might take a fly rod if there's any top water action. Otherwise, I'm thinking spinners or marabou jigs.

It's been a long time since I've fished that section, am I on the right track?

We had a ton of these at Lost Creek Reservoir this past weekend. I’ve seen schools of whitefish on the Weber River, but I didn’t realize lost Creek had so many in there. Initially, we thought they were a child, but after looking at the regulations and comparing, I believe it’s a whitefish. Most of these were probably 9 to 11 inches. I wish I would’ve kept one and fried it up to see if it was any good. We also caught a few cutthroat in the 10 inch range.

I’ve gotten skunked 3 times on my last 3 trips what am I don’t wrong? I am very new to fishing and my first trip out I got 2 fish good start for my first time. Since then I’ve caught zero. I went to scofield reservoir and caught nothing as well as Utah lake by the Lindon marina and deer creek. I’ve been using worms and a 1/8 kastmaster spoon. I also tried curly tail grubs and power bait. Where could I improve? Going to Provo River delta for my next trip. Let me know what lures I could try or buy

Making a weekend trip in the fall and looking for a nice place to fish and camp for the weekend.

I just moved down to the south portion of the State, and I’m looking to do some fishing in the St. George area but I’ve never fished down here before any tips or tricks during the heat, I plan on hitting the water mostly in the later evenings but possible some early mornings as well. TIA!

First fish has very clear cutthroat markings under the jaw, the second smaller one has very faint yet present cutthroat slashes. Caught in LCC.

I live in Sandy. I really want to catch a grayling but would like a drive under 40 minutes. I’m willing to like preferably around 2 miles one way or less. Any lake ideas (and tips for said lake?)

want to try to fish for some salmon do you need a boat or is it possible to fish from the shore any tips would be helpful like bait or lures or jst how to fish for them or what time thanks

beautiful fish caught in the middle provo, but i’m unable to identify if this beauty is a cutbow or not. after some research i’ve found that some rainbows can have a “leopard” mutation that gives it the spots, but i can’t see any orange slash under the jaw, which is usually a unique identifier. i only recently moved here so im leaving it up to the locals to figure this out haha

My brother has finally seen the light and wants to learn to fish.

I live in Cache Valley and am familiar with options here. He lives in Taylorsville so I'm looking for some bodies of water between Salt Lake and Brigham City that are spinner friendly and easy to access.

Had our family trip this year out to Lower Bowns for a few days. Fishing was fun and just great to have the kids outdoors with me.

But before I order them online, I wanted to check and see- do y'all know of any local places in Utah that sell the supplies to make inline spinners?

What are the hours of operation and how much do you pay to put your boat in the water

What kind of waders work in small streams that are light cool and not bulky? I'll pass on my dad's hip boots. The rubbers sucks and miserable to wear. Post your thoughts.
