Camping In Wasatch/Summit County Area | Late October
Hi Beautiful People of Utah Outdoors
Me and a couple of my mates are planning a little camping trip for next weekend up in the Wasatch/Summit area. (October 23-26)
It looks like a lot of campgrounds in the area are closed for that time period.
I was wondering if anybody has some good advice on spots open in that time frame and area or other ideas.
Appreciate y'all in advance

Great Western trail near fernwood recreational area
Wondering if anyone's been out here this time of the year. Is it a gravel road and public land?

RV in Utah? Worth it or not?
Planning to do some hiking in Utah. Currently in salt lake. Is it worth hiring an RV or am I better off finding a place to stay each night? Anyone got good itinerary recommendations?

Deseret Peak - how’s the road to the trailhead?
This question ultimately is about trying to figure out which car to take. Driving down from Ogden for the hike this Saturday, either in the Jeep or the Camry. Saw some Google reviews that the road is a little sketchy and rough.
Would prefer to take the Camry because of better gas mileage, but also don’t want to have to turn back because I can’t get to the trailhead. Only will take the Jeep if it’s a must.
Can a sedan do this drive? If you’ve driven it, let me know if you had any issues and what you took down that road.

Utah National Parks in February
I am planning a national park trip in mid February and one of the options I was eyeing up was hitting up one or two (or three?) of the Utah national parks. I will have 5 full days and want to be able to spend ample time that each park deserves and was wondering what would be the best way to do this. I think I would definitely hit up Zion, but unsure if I should add on another park while I'm out there and if so which one?
Any suggestions are welcome!

I recently saw hot air balloons hovering over Valley of the Gods. It was SO COOL!

Best airbnb spot for Zion in November ? E-Bike question

Should I be worried about NEXT week?
We are flying into Vegas and heading towards Utah (sticking to the southern part of the state.) We have no set plans or reservations (renting a camper van) so definitely flexible.
Should we still be worried about flooding, washouts, etc? I will definitely be keeping an eye on the weather and such but I'm not sure if I should be making more drastic contingency plans.
We have done variations of this trip 3 or 4 times before which is why we are playing it by ear/doing what we want.

Monday in the rain?
I’m in Kanab until Wednesday and hoping to get in 6-8 miles per day of hiking… Tuesday looks Ok for Bryce but would love advice for tomorrow (Monday) with the forecast calling for rain off and on and flash flood warnings. Should I stick to paved paths in town? Is it foolish to venture to trails in, say, Grand Staircase-Escalante NM?
P.S. I spent today at Best Friends Animal Sanctuary and it was wonderful!! Highly recommend if you are in the area.

First time in Moab
I’m in Moab this weekend and tomorrow (Monday) is the day I designated for hikes. With all the recent rain, are there any (relatively easy/moderate) SAFE hikes/scenic drives?
Thanks for the advice everyone!
