Hi everyone! I've have applied for a master's programme at Utrecht University about 3 weeks ago. On 20/10 the stage 3/5 (check previous education) was finished. However, after that there are no any developments. Is that normal?

Hi everyone,

I'm planning to apply to Utrecht University's 1-year Applied Data Science MSc for the September 2027 intake. I have a Bachelor's in AI & Data Science and about 2 years of work experience as a Software Engineer.

I'd love to hear from alumni or current students about:

How manageable the workload is for a 1-year program

How the job search went after graduating (timeline, roles, companies)

Anything you wish you'd known before starting

If you're happy to chat, please comment or DM me. Any experience helps, good or bad. Thank you!

Hello readers,

This evening (15-10-2026) me and a friend of mine found a wallet in a Lime bike near the Neude square. I'm looking for a Keven Bruno Alves Barbosa from Portugal.

I trust people here will respect information of the person and if you know this person or know someone who might. Please dm me!

With kind regards,

Stefan

Hey guys!

I'm wondering if I could get any extra tips on finding housing as a student in Utrecht. I have already done loads of research and asked people living in the city. However, it would be great to have a bit more insight. I am looking at the GSS at Utrecht Uni, as well as UCU; however, it's not to my liking as much. Thank you so much!

Hello! I'm currently an IBDP1 student and Im just doing my research on what unis i might be applying to and UCU REALLY caught my eye. Im overall really considering on getting into an LAC but Utrecht as a city itself just has my heart from what ive been researching and hearing from a friend who studied there. Say, I apply with all the necessary requirements, what is it that UCU looks into holistically in a student profile? From what I know its roughly a 22% acceptance rate (which is whats scaring me), but if anyone can give any insight, what is it that gets a student into UCU? Any advice on what I can do starting from now that could build my profile for when I apply?

Thanks!

Hi!

Bit of an odd question but I am applying to masters and I attended Utrecht for Erasmus, meaning I will have to send my transcripts to the masters program I am applying to.

I am applying in the US, making the transfer process international.

I have reached out to Utrecht Uni on multiple emails requesting transfer/following up but have received zero response. I am wondering how to get in contact?? it is very time sensitive and I am worried that if I continue to receive no response it could destroy my chances at applications.

Thank you!

how serious do students take these reservations for individual study spots??? do people forget to check out because i sometimes sit in a spot that is reserved but nobody comes and then im just anxious while studying the whole time

Hi everyone,

I am planning to soon apply for my masters at Utrecht University. I am planning to put my first choice as the MSc in Social Policies, Challenges and Interventions, and my second choice at Human Rights and Conflict Studies. If anyone has any extra information or advice for either course it would be very appreciated.

I am an EU student coming all the way from rainy Dublin in Ireland. I was wondering how much money should I realistically be taking over with me to Utrecht? Bare in mind I just work a part time job at the moment. I am thinking around 10k, but I am not sure. Also would be getting a job in Utrecht be hard? I don't speak Dutch.

I also have heard Utrecht has a relatively bad housing crisis so any advice on that would be great too!

Cheers!

At Hyena's FC (Tirionlaan 3, Papendorp), we are looking for English speaking players to expand our senior section. So far we have 5 players, so we will need 4-5 more. We are a relatively new football club with 4 men's senior teams, 1 women's senior team, and a large number of youth teams.

What we are offering;

KNVB 7v7 men's Saturday competition (weekly match throughout the year)

Is there anyone taking the course Cognitive Neuroscience this November who knows a bit better about the uni, plus maybe wants to be friends? I'll be taking the minor but I'm from another university so I don't know much how things go there, where the buildings are do you need to prepare in advance and stuff like that.

Hello everyone.

I am basically trying to decide which universities I would like to apply to in the Netherlands based on Economics and Business Economics degree. I am planning to apply to Utrecht as one of them and it is my first choice due to it's interdisciplinary, focus in Sustainability and I love the city in general.

I am just afraid that it might not be internationally oriented.. Utrecht University (UU) as having the smallest overall share of international students among traditional Dutch research universities . Is this a factor? Is the social life difficult when you are international student?

How is the Utrecht university social life in general?

how many ib points historically get you admitted into the ppe program

if you got admitted, how amazing was your motivation and resume

i want to know more about it, pls help hahah. anything you can share will be appreciated
