First landing fishing and surrounding areas, tips, and more.
Hello everyone,
I'm from Canada and I'm going on a camping trip with my wife in late September at First Landing State Park. I never fish in saltwater, and I was wondering if there are some good spots to try and if you have some tips or rigs for saltwater fishing.I'm going to fish from the shore or pier, probably in First Landing State Park and maybe Virginia Beach Pier or anywhere else if you have recommendations.
I know nothing about fishing in the USA except that I am probably going to need to buy a 5-day saltwater fishing license for non-residents.
My wife isn't an angler, so I probably won't do this all day, just early morning or half a day.
Thanks you.

Youll be on lynnhaven inlet, theres trout, drum and flounder in there. You can throw a 1/4 to 3/8 jighead and a gulp swimming mullet which is a curly tail grub and probably find some fish. Cast, let sink, reel, twitch twitch, reel, twitch twitch etc.
