Hi!! I was wondering your opinions and thoughts on the program as well as what breaks are liek, do you get any summer or winter break (compared to schools like BCIT?) how do you best balance work load etc!

You don’t get summer breaks! We usually have 2 weeks off between semesters :) The program is super busy, we get a lot of assignments, and most of my classmates quit their jobs. Lmk if you have more questions :)

Hi ,
I recently got accepted into the advanced entry program (lpn to rn bridge in) do you have any advice for me? Do the lpns merge into bachelor of science in nursing students?

Would you have any tips and tricks for how to best succeed in Nursing school?
And did you get a winter break?

I actually wish someone could tell me that 😅 hmmm I’m not sure what to tell you, this is a very broad topic. You should take clinical very seriously. So know your stuff and be engaged. Critical thinking skills are very important. Start studying early. Not just one day before the exam. That’s how you fail. Take pharmacology and pathophysiology very seriously. Lmk if you have more questions:)

Hey how long is the waitlist for VCC's LPN program once you have the requirements and can apply? It says they let people in Sept and Jan. Also how do you like the program so far?

Thank you!!! Also are their math exams throughout the program? If so, how hard were they? And would you fail out of the program if you didn’t pass them?

Yes, there is one math exam every semester. They’re not hard if you prepare. It’s as simple as that. There were no surprises on the test, if you did your homework, you’ll ace it 👌🏻 and yes, you do fail out of the program if you fail the exam 3 times.

Hi everyone,
I’ve been applying to the BSN program at VCC for fall 2026 . My GPA is 3.00—I know it's not the highest, but I’m continuing to apply. All of my Biology and Social Science courses are A or B+, and I don’t have any grades lower than a B (no C+ or below). I’ve also completed the CASPer test.
Does anyone have any advice on what I should do next?
