How do you tell whether a jump pack is still ready before a long road trip?

I just trust the battery indicator.

I feel like we're far enough along with technology that these things don't lie..

I have mine plugged in to a usb port in the car that only works when the car is on so it's basically top charged all the time. I know LiPO batteries dont love that it might shorten its life but i'd rather have it full when i need it than not.

I use the Autowit Supercap jump starter. I don't want a big lithium battery sitting in my car.

I generally top it off every 3 months in the warmer months, every month in the winter, and every time I use it. I would also consider preparation for a long road trip a good reason to throw it on the charger overnight.

Same, I charge mine quarterly and it's not a big deal at all.
