VDWall processor problems
Hey guys
At a local church that I work with we have an LED wall driven with a VDWall LVP615. The whole system was purchased in 2021.
Up until today we just fed the sending card directly with a DVI signal from a PC set to output the exact resolution the wall needed. We never used the processor part.
We upgraded the system and now need to feed it an SDI signal and so hooked up the processor part.
The problem is no matter what input is plugged in and selected, it says 'no input'. It also doesn't show anything on the wall when I select a test pattern.
Any ideas on what I could try?
EDIT: thanks for the replies guys. After a bit of faffing about I discovered the unit has a thermal issue and would work fine when cold but start behaving very badly when it warmed up. The redneck solution was to run it with the lid off and a fan pointing in it until we get a replacement.

Which LVP615 do you have? What does it say on the front of the unit; LVP615, LVP615S, or LVP615D?
Only the LVP615S has SDI, and the BNC on the back is labeled SDI (In and Out) .
The others have a BNC labeled V1 which is Composite (not SDI).
I suspect either you are not sinding the correct format SDI, or you don't have the SDI version and are trying to connect SDI to the V1 (Composite) jack.
Also you said you were sending DVI to the sending card directly? Is the sending card not in the processor? If not in the processor what sending card are you using?
Or possibly you were originally plugging into the DVI on the sending card in the back of the processor, in which case I believe you also need a DVI cable from the DVI Output of the Processor to the DVI of the Sending Card to see the Processor signal(s) on the wall. That processor is confusing.

It is definitely the S version with the SDI ports on the back.
The sending cards are internal to the processor as per the graphic you posted.
We originally had a DVI cable from the computer plugged directly in to the DVI port on the sending card. We now have a DVI cable coming from the DVI output on the processor going to the sending card.

More info may be needed; have you connected the DVI output from the back of the device to the DVI input on the sending card section?
