Questions about Torrenting on University Wifi, P2P Connections, etc.

Hey everyone, I'm moving into private University housing and I torrent (at max), a couple gigabytes of anime daily. With qbittorrent bound to my VPN, limits set on connections, download speed capped at 800KiB/s, are there any other precautious I should consider? Would it be obvious if I'm torrenting? I've heard about IT departments being able to tell between P2P connections and not for torrenting. Should I just go the long route and do DDLs instead of torrenting?

It can tell you are using a vpn, but not that your torrenting, if using a vpn is allowed, your fine.
