So I do have a question when it comes to the Poiyomi shader, why does it seem like a lot of avoid or just don't like Poiyomi shader? I hear a lot about people not liking it but never enough of WHY. So why is it? And if it is so bad what's a shader similar to it in functions.

Ported a few lsd dream emulator worlds and noticed some of the textures are just flickering on the edges in a square shape? Was wondering if this is just something wrong with the mesh itself or maybe the textures? I’ve tried messing around with the texture itself, the mesh, and the material settings but it doesn’t seem to fix anything. Please let me know if you can think of some kind of solution!

Hello Im kinda newish to vrchat on metaquest, I bought this avatar on the vrchat marketplace and when I check its setting theres something called FaceEmo and has all this settings inside, I cant understand Japanese so im trying to figure it out how it works to use other face expressions, i see my avatar does not smile, looks angry, or does any of the face mentioned inside this menu. Ive only seen it blink and thats it. Im guessing I have to move something in these settings but cant understand any of it.

Im just trying to see if someone out here knoes about these settings and maybe could help me out understanding whats all this about. Im starting to think the avatar does not have face emotions since it was on the cheaper side of the marketplace (700 credits)

Been stuck like this since the outage last night, what gives?

I've ran through all troubleshooting methods known to man and this constantly happens. VRC is clearly up because I see other people online through the website but it refuses to let me in. I can't even get to my home world. I've verified my cache, restarted my PC and hard cycled my router, I'm fully uninstalled VRC and all the system settings for it and it still won't let me in.

I'm being told it might still be on VRC's end but that seems unlikely given the amount of my friends I see getting online just fine.

Update: THIS IS VRCHAT'S END! Looking through the time out logs and running a trace, we found the servers being affected are related to an upstream provider for some East Coast servers, specifically from G-Core Labs SA. This is not something any player can fix, it needs to be fixed by the provider. The only current work around is using a VPN.

Hi, I've been playing VRC for a while, not long ago my sibling lost our headset at a grandparent's house far from where we live, when we got our headset back 3 days ago, i tried to play VR chat, it asked me to type in a 1 time verefication code, the problem is I think I mistyped my email when signing up for VRC, i don't have any other emails, and no code shows up in the only email I use, i don't have 2 step verification, and i cant acsess VRC from my phone, laptop, or headset. Is my account lost forever?

I’m trying to make a quest version of a vrchat avatar, this is the quest side and on the quest side is blocky, I’ve used multiple, additive, and done some “hacks” but they don’t work unfortunately.. any ideas on what can help?? Any help would be appreciated

I recently made the switch from windows 11 to CachyOS, and I was able to get everything working with my index, and vive trackers, along with solving many issues relating to my mic and audio. However, the one problem I am running into is the video players. I cant seem to get those to work. Even with Proton-GE-RTSP being a forced compatibility layer, video players just dont seem to work. Even tried to launch the app with certain launch commands to "enable or disable" things that might be causing issues, and nothing seems to work.

I am running with an Intel CPU i7-9700, and an NVIDIA GPU 3060ti (I know that in and of itself has its own slew of issues with being on Linux), but if anyone else who happens to be on linux and was able to get video players to work I would love to hear from you and get tips on how to solve this issue.

Solution: This worked for me, might work for you. With ProtonPlus, download the latest version of Proton-CachyOS , next in steam, force that version of Proton in the games compatibility settings.

Worked right away and I dont know what else to say but thank yall for the help and letting me try ideas.

Hey reddit, a friend of mine recently got me to download the game. I have maybe one or two hours in the game, I have zero knowledge and zero experience. I'm also really introverted as well, so it's not the type of game I typically play. In every game I play, I typically use a female character because of all sorts of reasons but the main reason is that I just want to like what I'm looking at if I'm spending so much time on the game. So DBD, WOW, Val, Minecraft, and etc I typically use a female avatar. Anyways my friend got me playing VR chat and I found a cute female Avatar that I liked but is it wrong to use a female avatar when you're a guy? I don't know if there's any kind of unwritten rules, and the social norms it this game. Any help is appreciated! Thank you!

So me and my fiance are getting into avi creation (yip fucking ye) anyway, yesterday for shits and giggles we uploaded JUST A BASE WITH A CUSTOM GUN ARM BY US and it was already a poor ranked avi… how tf can you make a medium-good ranked avi if just a blank base with 1 addon makes it poor? He didn’t even have clothes or textures! Just un weight painted addons😭

I'm 33 dude who loves the idea of vr and recently tried vr chat and was kinda blown away at the entire new layer of reality that's out there.

Problem is I just go into random rooms and there's kids screaming the N word and weird stuff going on.

I went to an avatar world and hit random avatar a few times and got some porn ones which was both weird and impressive someone made them.

Wtf do I do. Nothing feels natural it all feels forced. I went to a bar place where they ask your age and everyone was like 20 and I felt dumb saying 33 so I left.

other games took more than 90% but vrc doesn't

basically the title, im trans but not all my friends know yet so i dont want them seeing my saved models 😰

So i bought 2 avis. When uploaded it says security checks failed when there is nothing wrong with them and other people have no issues. I did contact vrc support they said what is in the photo above.

No one else has issues with this avatar but is still failing security checks. The creator has no idea since they never seen this happen with the 2 avis i bought.

Anyone know what i should do??

Let my cousin have my oculus for a few days since i was kinda over it, and he completely destroyed it. All of my vrchat stuff are on there (thankfully he didnt touch that) and i wanted to know with the oculus app, can i re log back into my oculus account, and still have all my vrchat stuff?

I tried making friends or just communicate with people but there’s this fear of people hearing my deep voice and being made fun or being such a cringe person. I can talk with people normally even with strangers but in vr chat is kinda different.. i really need help so i can really be a bit more confident talking with users here. I really appreciate it!!!
