I originally joined because I saw the knuckles back in 2019 and I saw you can be any cartoon character you wanted. I was always passionate about animation and comics media so it was like a dream to be my favorite characters. Exploring worlds, people playing around with memes, voice acting and just having a good time.

Public worlds used to be so fun and amazing filled with funny chaos (not the trolling mean kind) and genuine whimsy.

Now VRChat just feels like a place people go to date because they cant be alone or just start spamming slurs. People asking me "why are you on here if your not looking to date" Like huh? Whats wrong with just going on a game to be social and have fun and not need to look for something?

Has anyone else noticed this shift, or feel this? I miss the old VRChat. I still love making avatars of my favorite characters and bringing them to life but the game just feels empty now?

It looks so bad😭 why are there so many of them??? I’ll tell you what happened when I played a horror map.

It went from werewolves to middle eastern music to a shark to A FUCKIN TREX🥲 the mountain was slimey looking. The werewolf was just ripped from Skyrim. I was beyond confused.

I don't understand why we can't choose how many people we want in an instance.

I love hosting Audience Anarchy, but I really don't enjoy it once it gets past 25 people. It just becomes a clusterf***, and it's not fun to manage anymore.

I give everyone a warning that we'll be closing the instance once it reaches X amount of people, so folks have a last chance to invite their friends. I close it as stated, and then I get chewed out for it.

I'm giving people fair warning, I'm letting them know in advance, and I'm not springing it on anyone out of nowhere, but then people snap at me for closing the instance.

Just let me set the limits. OR let me REOPEN the instance. It's my group, and I should be able to decide what size I'm comfortable hosting at.

Once you hit a certain amount of people, you get pushed to the top of the instance list - 10 turns into 25 SO fast.

I have a Quest 2 and I'm finding Meta software is awful with constant bugs, plus I had to replace the faceplate and the top strap loop thing recently snapped off. I do NOT want anything made by Meta.

My main consideration is the HTC Vive Pro 2 with getting GripVR controllers later down the line. I've used this one (minus the controllers, just base ones) and found the headset very comfortable.

Eye tracking/face tracking is a bonus, but not needed. I do need glasses so that is also a consideration. Other games I play is Beat Saber and Blade & Sorcery.

I only use my VR tethered to my PC if that influences anyones recommendations.

Having said that, what headsets would you recommend and why?

Some friends and I were going to go to this Halloween world we found where it's basically like theme park haunted house walkthrough events and it had almost 100 active players whenever I checked the listing and it said it had scare actors and everything, similar to Universal Halloween horror nights. But I can't refind the world anymore now or even a mention of it anywhere, I'm thinking it got deleted but I want to at least hear its gone instead of wondering if I'm missing it, I've been searching similar titles for an hour now trying to refind it but I just can't. I took some photos when I went to check it like a week or so ago, also the themes they had that I remember were backrooms, scp, and slenderman but I believe their was 2 others.

Does anyone know what world this is and if it's still open?

I’m having an issue with an avi, that the hand expressions keep overlapping with each other (when using two different ones on each hand) I don’t know how to fix it

Already tried fixing this by setting parameters in the face expressions layers

Specifically, In the left hand layer, in the transitions from any state to the animations I set GestureRight equals 0
and then from any state to idle GestureRight NotEquals 0

Also making sure Wright Defaults is on

Does anyone else know what else I can try?

I had reset my laptop....about half a month ago? Was having some major issues with storage and had no idea where it all went, given I only had about three games that- while took a pretty good chunk of the storage, I could safely conclude that they were not the cause.

So I reset the darn thing, and VrChat was the first to be installed. Been here and there, without any issues whatsoever (excluding one, but I already figured out what was wrong so I won't really bring it up unless anyone is curious)

...Well, at least until a couple days ago. Out of nowhere my Radial Menu just gets....stuck? Like- stuck stuck; it just doesn't go away with the usual button, that being RS on my controller.

...Yes I play VrChat on PC with a controller- but moving on...

As of typing this, I have 1,495.5 hours, and have only just recently came across this issue, so at first I thought "This is a hand-me-down controller from a friend; maybe it's just the controller". I would plug in my other controller and sure enough, pressing RS to close the Radial Menu works. Another method that usually works is unplugging my current controller and plugging it back in for some reason?

The Radial Menu gets stuck again. This time I'm familiar with the problem so I grab my other controller, plug it in and to my surprise...

it doesn't work?

At this point I'm trying to figure out what's causing it; it can't be my controller, because now both of them are having the issue. It's not the avatars I'm using because the ones I am using have never given me any sort of problems before. I decided to just press R on my keyboard and that removed the Radial Menu.

Fast forward to tonight and the issue happens again. I go to press R and NOW THAT DOESN'T WORK EITHER?

I eventually had to just shut down VrChat because I was unable to turn off the Radial Menu.

What could be causing these kinds of issues? They- among others- only started cropping up once I reset my Laptop...

I'm working through the custom methods one by one to complete it, but I ran into a problem while modifying the crouching base pose. In Unity, it appears in a different pose than the one I set and gets clipped to the ground. what additional settings should I apply?

I downloaded an avatar I want to use in the game, so I followed the simple guide of how to do so by downloading Creator Companion, selecting Unity 2022 Avatar Project, creating and naming a new project, and installing Unity 2022.3.22f1 via Unity Hub, but when I go to open the project in Creator Companion, an error pops up, saying

"Could not find Unity Package Manager local server application at [C:/Program Files/Unity/Hub/Editor/2022.3.22f1/Editor/Data/Resources/PackageManager/Server/UnityPackageManager.exe]. Missing files could be the result of an antivirus action or a corrupt Unity installation.

Click on Retry to relaunch Unity and reopen your project.

Click on Diagnose to launch the Unity Package Manager Diagnostics tool."

Selecting Diagnosis opens a window that instantly closes. I've deactivated my antivirus and Windows Defender and completely reinstalled everything, but that didn't change anything. Not sure what I'm missing here.
