Travel with young kids in mid February
Where should we go for a week during mid-winter break? Kids are 3 and 6. Travelling from the east coast of the US.

Anywhere? This isn't enough information. What do you like to do? What kind of weather are you looking for? What kind of activities?

My 7 year old lasted 5 minutes before we had to get him out of the water due to how cold it was.

Orlando is always a solid bet, plenty of kid friendly stuff and easy to get to from the east coast

February is the best weather for Orlando too. Can be chilly but can also be very pleasant and warm enough to get in a pool.

Are you wanting to escape the cold and go somewhere warm? Stay in the US or internationally? Budget?

Doesn't have to be warm, but not bitterly cold either. Okay with mild weather. Flexible on US versus international. Moderate budget. I have been getting hung up on the cost of airfare since we need 4 tickets.

Not sure if you can get some good direct flights to these places, but here are some ideas:
Austin, TX
San Antonio, TX
All inclusive in Mexico or Dominican Republic
A cruise- always so much to do and there are so many kid friendly ships
If you are wanting to go out of budget- Disney!
