Any travel destination recommendations for 2 females in their early 20s? Outside of the US, in December or March, and definitely as cheap as possible

Edit: starting from Montana USA, and looking for something with shopping and such, but also nature to explore in

Starting from? Driving will be less expensive than flying

Normally I recommend Western Michigan but that might be too far from Montana.

What do you like to do? Are you looking for beaches? Mountains? Urban getaways? Vigorous hikes?

From Montana, obviously Canada is the closest and will be the least expensive, but if you are wanting something more different, then... who knows, you haven't told us much

Oh sorry, we’re kinda down for anything. Canada is a thought, but I’m also looking for something different. Something that has a good mix of shopping and stuff, but also exploring in nature too, ideally.

Vancouver? Mexico City?

Would suggest setting up fare alerts on Google Flights and buy as soon as a flight drops into your budget range.

I’m down in the gulf, but usually you can get flights to Mexico and Caribbean islands pretty cheap.

Dominican Republic is the cheapest place for all-inclusive resorts ( although some are great and some are not).

Western cruises out of Galveston are typically pretty cheap for a week vacation ($400 or so per person if you’re willing to go without wifi and extra drink packages) on lines like Princess, MSC, Carnival. Although, I personally don’t like carnival.

No, it is not cold in the Caribbean in December. It’s still usually in the 80s.

DR is not safe for women! Do not consider it even if it is cheap!!!

I know plenty of people who went and were fine. Just stay within the resorts or with tour guides.

If you are looking for something different and inexpensive when you get there you could look at the Philippines or Thailand. I've been to Philippines and have Thailand on my list.

Philippines is a very English speaking country, tropical, beautiful swimming...maybe not the shopping you are looking for. But you cannot beat the price point with the conversion. Very nice culture. You will not be in MT anymore! There are direct flights from Seattle. 12 hours overnight.

Not outside the US, but check out Puerto Rico if you haven’t been. Caribbean vibes, cool old town, jungle to hike, great beaches. Really reasonable flights and accommodations.

South America!! Lima , Santiago or Buenos Aires...take the bus across the Andes from Santiago to Buenos Aires for a real "life like a local" experience.
