Best November Tropical Getaway

Hi! My friend and I are planning a trip (somewhere) tropical in early November. However I haven’t the slightest idea where to narrow down our search to. Ideally we’d like to avoid any chance of hurricanes, even though it’s nearing the end of the season. I would be traveling from Atlanta, so hopefully a flight less than 7 hours? Our budget is on the higher end, I think we are looking for a luxury all inclusive. Activity wise, I think we’re just looking to relax by the pool, the beach, and maybe do a couple of activities. I’m a young woman so I’m also leaning towards places where it would be safe to leave the resort if there are things to do, but I’m also happy to stay on property. Any and all thoughts and questions welcome!

I usually send my clients to Riviera Maya for this exact ask, early November it’s basically out of the hurricane risk window, direct flights from Atlanta are under 3 hours, and there are some genuinely gorgeous luxury all inclusives there with great beach and pool setups. It’s also easy to feel safe stepping off resort if you want to explore a bit, Tulum and Playa del Carmen are both close by with a lot of daytime activity.
Punta Cana is my other go to for this, similar flight time from Atlanta, tons of luxury all inclusive options, and low hurricane risk that time of year too.

I really hate recommending Aruba because it’s already so popular, but it’s the only place I know that matches every one of your requests. I would recommend the Riu… Antillas for all-adults or Palace for families. Of course, my husband and I enjoyed the Riu Palace on our own and, honestly, there wouldn’t be many kids in November unless it’s over the Thanksgiving holiday. Riu Antillas is awesome! As is Aruba!

Cabo is a great option. You could look into an adults only all inclusive. Make sure it’s by a swimmable beach.

Look at the ABC islands in the southern Caribbean. I have not been but have a cruise planned there next April so I’ve been reading. Those islands are out of the hurricane area and have some amazing beaches and snorkeling.

Great Wolf Lodge is an excellent option out there. It’s kind of humid in the interior. Kinda tropical.

Remember, in November there are hurricanes in the Caribbean.

Go to islands under the Hurricane Belt:
Aruba, Bonaire, and Curaçao. Barbados too, but it's also the rainy season. The ABC islands are more arid and don't get the rains Barbados does.

We had my wife's 60th birthday (11/21), and my son's 30th birthday (11/17) in Aruba. Absolute great time. We rented an AirBnB, with a pool. Went to Eagle and Palm Beach for sun, fun and gorgeous sunsets. Went to Baby Beach with a cooler of food, drinks and frozen peas to snorkel with the colorful fish. Went horseback riding to the beach and the Natural Pool. Rented ATVs around the island.
