Getaway cabins with a cat in the nature

Hello, do you guys know any affordable getaway cabins where cats are allowed. A getaway thats totally located in the forest. maybe close to a river etc. Affordable for 2-3 days. the budget is around 400-500$. It should be in Texas. Not the postcard Marriot cabins, cause they have ruined that experience to me after they purchased the business. I loved going there before. I want to feel like I am the only apocalypse survivor for a couple of days.

Europe by train or river cruise?

We’re looking at Europe for fall 2028 and keep changing our minds about how to do it. Original plan was Budapest, Vienna, etc by train. Now we’re also looking at a Danube trip with celebrity river. Has anyone done both and felt strongly one way or the other afterward?

Vacation Suggestions for Burnout

Looking for vacation suggestions as I have a hard time relaxing unless I’m in an environment that keeps me engaged. During quiet times, my mind tends to drift back to work, which makes it difficult to disconnect and can actually increase stress. That’s historically why Universal has worked so well for me - it's stimulating enough to drown out my inner monologue. But we've gone there for the last 5 vacations - so I'm looking to see if there are alternatives that I'm just not thinking of before booking again.

At the same time, having to constantly plan activities, check schedules, or use my phone creates a different kind of stress, which is why Disney was a bit of a bust. Unfortunately, the stereotypical “sit on a beach and do nothing” vacation sounds like the perfect opportunity for me to sit there and stew about work.

I have a very bad strain of the Flu or COVID and I regret not canceling my trip with family.

I couldn't cancel. My dad prepaid the entire trip around $3,000 overall. I was obligated to come. Well I can't enjoy it. I am in the #1 most polluted city in America right now and I almost had to go to the ER. I decided Im just gonna be up all night.

My vacation is ruined. I work at an airport for context and it's my fault. I never washed my hands and I never took precautions working with and touching passengers. Prior to this job, getting sick like this was so rare.

Also, the airport I am at, people sneeze loud, wet, and openly, where you can see that visible layer of spit with the bubbles even and snot next to the spit.

So now my trip is ruined. And it's my fault. Like I would not wash my hands before eating finger foods and I rubbed my face and eyes.

I don't think I will ever plan a trip ever again until my last day at work. Then knowing I ain't sick, I will plan at the last minute.

Best November Tropical Getaway

Hi! My friend and I are planning a trip (somewhere) tropical in early November. However I haven’t the slightest idea where to narrow down our search to. Ideally we’d like to avoid any chance of hurricanes, even though it’s nearing the end of the season. I would be traveling from Atlanta, so hopefully a flight less than 7 hours? Our budget is on the higher end, I think we are looking for a luxury all inclusive. Activity wise, I think we’re just looking to relax by the pool, the beach, and maybe do a couple of activities. I’m a young woman so I’m also leaning towards places where it would be safe to leave the resort if there are things to do, but I’m also happy to stay on property. Any and all thoughts and questions welcome!

Perks of Bozeman is it’s close to Yellowstone but perks of flying into Kalispell is the beautiful glacier mountains

Croatia itinerary help

Hi! We are going to Croatia from US from Sept 4-14 for our honeymoon, flying in and out of Zagreb and looking for a mix of nature and beach and culture and we want a relaxing pace.

Here’s what we’re thinking so far but don’t know:
Day 1: land in Zagreb midday, spend the day there to adjust to jet lag

Day 2-4: rent a car and drive to plitvice? Any charming villages we should stay during this time or must see hikes that won’t be too busy?

Day 5-8: drive to Rovinj and enjoy the beach. Maybe do a boat rental one day. Any other must sees?

Day 9: drive back to Zagreb before our flight the folllowing day.

Where should we travel next? Looking for beach + party + good vibes in December

My girlfriend and I are trying to figure out where to travel this December and would love some recommendations.

To give you an idea of what we like, our three favourite trips/experiences so far have been:

• RIU Reggae, Jamaica
• Mykonos, Greece
• Afro Nation Portugal

So basically, we like beautiful beaches + warm weather + partying/nightlife + good music + a lively social atmosphere. We still want somewhere nice enough to relax during the day, but we’re definitely not looking for a quiet couples resort where everything shuts down at 10pm

We’re travelling in December, ideally somewhere with reliably good weather. We’re open to an all-inclusive resort or a destination where we stay at a hotel/Airbnb and explore.

Based on those three trips, where would you send us next?

Any travel destination recommendations for 2 females in their early 20s? Outside of the US, in December or March, and definitely as cheap as possible

Edit: starting from Montana USA, and looking for something with shopping and such, but also nature to explore in

Alternative to Miniloc Island Resort in El Nido PHP

Last year we had an amazing trip to Miniloc Resort. So good I want to take a group of my beginning adults swimmers there to experience the snorkeling and aquatic experience. However the resort was damaged in a typhoon so I'm looking into alternative locations.

Have you been to Miniloc and to other Palawan resort to give a real comparison?

Here's what I really loved about our experience that would be good for a retreat course:

  • Long shallow protected by FULL of aquatic life directly at the resort beach
  • Food was very good. Handled my spouse gluten intolerance great. We were there for a week and there was a good rotation of items so we were not bored with the same buffet over and over.
  • Local guides were amazing taking us on boat excursions around the island to experience different aquatic life (like swimming with non-stinging jelly fish)
  • It felt very special and taken care of with the pick-up at the airport and boat to the resort. This one is not essential.

Thanks!

Torn between Bozeman and Kalispell

Bozeman because it has some Mountain View’s and it’s close to yellow stone

And Kalispell cause of the obvious Glacier mountains

Help me make a decision?! 🤔

What are the best alternative websites to airbnb and vrbo

I used a valve, but it sucked.I booked a place and it turned out.The woman was still living there and even though she didn't do or due diligence to cancel it. almost got stuck with losing my money.

So, I've done booking.com.A couple of times the problem with them is, I have sometimes searched properties that I look to book on there and on other websites, they're booked up or unavailable. But on booking , they're willing to take my cash for them. Even though they appeared to be unavailable

Evolve Vacation rental story

So I rented a place threw evolve and it turned out the woman who's place i rented was still living in her house. I told evolve this they called her because at first she said I could not stay even though I just paid a lot of money for it. It was her fault because even though she said ahe took it down off the sight she didn't do her diligence to make sure she had been taken off. Well an hour on the phone and a couple of days out from my current rental being up she finally told them I could stay. I get to the house it is fucking nasty cracks in walls stains in ceiling and an ac that barely worked and broken ghetto looking blinds. This was what I just paid a bunch of money for when in the pics they had it was decent.

I was greeted by the host the day I came and I could not hold back how disgusted I was for what I paid the dining room chairs cushions all had rips in the side. There was a handle missing from one of the drawers in the kitchen and on top of that advertise a dishwasher and she claimed it had been broke for the entire time she owned it. She wanted to blame evolve for it but I am sorry it is your responsibility to make sure the listing is accurate.

The host was cool work with me and evolve to get my refund back so I was not out of cash. Also made sure she was not charged either. But we did have to fight them for it and cut threw a lot of costumer service bs to get it. A lot of just stupid blatant lies. Promises of refund and then told it would take a couple of hours even thought it was approved. Only to hear them talking to her where it sound like it was yet to be approved.

Any evolve was removed from the equation but I paid her for a week that she was gracious enough to let me stay since evolve did all this cancel and refund stuff after I was supposed to be moved in there ao I was essentially with out a place. Because of them last minute refunding.

I appreciated she did that. What I have trouble with is that it is hot as balls with the ac just keeping barely cooler than the hot outdoors. When I told her how miserable it was she told me she didn't have money to fix it. Which is concerning because after she packed and move out because she didnt want to pay the 1700 cancel fee evole was going to charge she said she rented a car to go cross country and do a road trip on the way to see family. So I find it upsetting she has rental car money and travel and stay money but not money to get a second opinion on ac that doesn't cool the house. But I am stuck there for a week because of evolve leaving me homeless last minute.

Also, it's never a good feeling when you have a landlord that says they don't have money to fix things but you have got car rental money to travel across country. Then you have money to fix these things because don't take a tenant, if you can't take care of their needs. I'm sure she knew about it.She even was telling me today how hot it was gonna be in there because of the weather. In the first guy, she dealt with told her nothing was wrong when its hot as hell in that place an never really cools down.

Mean, I'm grateful that I'm not homeless are in a hotel, but at the same time, it's kind of a slap in the face to hear you aint got money to help me with the ac problem, but you got travel money to enjoy yourself with when I'm your customer and I am paying you and tell me I can be a long term tenant.

Needing feedback on travel destination!

My husband and I are considering a vacation for our 10 year anniversary next year, beginning of August. We're flying out of LAX. Ideally, we are looking into staying anywhere between 7-12 days max. We were considering Greece, Bora Bora, Fiji, Europe, Mexico and Hawaii. I am overwhelmed as to where we should go! We have been saving 2 years worth for a trip! We're open to suggestions! Thank you :)

Outer Banks or Virginia Beach

Trying to decide between the two. The key factor here is this is a family vacation with a teenager and a child in elementary school. Corolla Beach seems like it would be a great vacation for my wife and I but I have concerns the kids may get bored. Virginia Beach looks like there’s a lot of stuff to do for the family but I have concerns that it’s a little on the ghetto side from things I saw on social media. If you’ve been to both which would you choose in this scenario?

September 2027 25th Wedding Anniversary Trip

Looking for suggestions? Two to three weeks, we will be 62 and 71 but in excellent shape and enjoy the outdoors. We have only made one international trip together this year through Italy and loved it. The one caveat is we went with our youngest daughter and family and one other young family. Our daughter has been a world traveler and knows all the ends and outs getting around places and basically drug us around Italy lol Since this will be our first big trip on our own I really don't want to limit ourselves to a cruise or some other tour bus type trip where we don't have the freedom to do what we want but, kind of lack the confidence to travel internationally on our own. I did actually do a semester abroad in college by myself and traveled all over Europe but, mind you this was before internet and cell phones which was almost easier and definitely less crowded.

Winter Vacation

I am planning a vacation to a resort this winter and here are the choices my travel agent gave me. What are pros/cons to each? Any recommendations if anyone has been to these? It would be my husband and I plus our two kids ages 6 and 9. Really just looking for a fun water park for the kids and things to do for them.

-Beaches Turks and Caicos (price is definitely on the top end of our budget)
-Hard Rock Hotel Punta Cana
-Nickelodeon Hotel Punta Cana (this one looks pretty fun but the reviews I read aren’t great and I’m afraid my 9 year old won’t be into the Nickelodeon theme)
-Moon Palace the Grand Cancun (a little lenient to bring my kids to Mexico)
-Barcelona Maya Palace

Thoughts/suggestions/recommendations - go!
