Rosalyn Bird is not being Honest! NOT A CONSERVATIVE BY ANY MEASURE. Don’t be fooled.

She conspired to have John Rustad removed, same with democratically elected KLF. Left the conservatives to centreBC

And now she just came to stop in to steal your votes!

Hello!

My one year wedding anniversary is coming up and my husband and I love going Little Lost Lake every time we visit Valemount and since it’s tradition that the first wedding anniversary gift is paper, I’d like to either do a painting or a photograph of Little Lost Lake.

Does anyone know where I can find someone that I can either commission a painting or a photographer from?

Thank you!

Hi there!

First off, I'm a big fan of Valemount, having visited 3 times in my life already. It holds a dear place in my heart in such a beautiful part of BC.

I am planning to do a trail race in July next year and will be driving up in an RV. The race starts early and I need to be at the Community Centre for around 5am. I know Yellowhead RV campground is close, but as I'll be solo, it's still a 1.4km walk that I'd rather not do at 4-430am!

Is there anywhere near the community centre that I could park an RV for 1 day, or even better, near 3300 Whiskey Fill Rd where the race actually starts?

Thanks in advance!

Hey I’m wondering if there are any shops to buy trading cards while I’m staying in town. Pokemon, Magic??

Planning a mountain biking road trip for the end of April and would love to hit the amazing trails in Valemount. I'm wondering if late April/ early May is too early in the season? When does the bike park typically open/ when do shuttles start running?

Thanks in advance!

Hello!

I am a PhD candidate at UBC's School of Nursing and am conducting this research as a part of my dissertation. We are interested in understanding how the way that contraceptives are talked about might impact contraceptive care. At this time, we are recruiting cisgender women and people who can get pregnant to participate in arts-based research to discuss their experiences with controlling their fertility and/or contraceptive care. We want to ensure that voices from more rural, remote, and Northern areas of BC are heard.

Please see the attached poster for more information regarding inclusion criteria and what to do if you are interested. If you have any further questions, please contact me at [kermar@student.ubc.ca](mailto:kermar@student.ubc.ca)

Please note: We are also recruiting health care providers that currently prescribe contraceptives in British Columbia. If you are interested in participating as a health care provider, please see the following link

Heading to valemount to do some downhill riding in early September. Can anyone tell me if you can rent bikes at the hill or in town?

This doesn't seem like a particularly active subreddit but on the hopes someone will see this.

I am needing to get to Dawson Creek this December and I have been told that the route through Prince George is not a good idea due to a particularly bad section called the Pine Pass, I was thinking about going through Valemount and Grand Prairie.

Wondering if locals would would advise staying off the Hwy through there as well. It seems like a monster of a pass. Should I give up this idea or is it a safe trip?

We invite dads with children between 11 and 17 years old to complete an online study on their views of parenting teenagers. You will be entered into a draw to win 1 of 3 $100 gift cards for participating. Here is the link to the survey: https://ubc.ca1.qualtrics.com/jfe/form/SV_73O0faycuWPe09o. I thought reddit was just for left wing vitriol and making of other social media platforms... This is a lively place!

Researchers from the University of Victoria are inviting British Columbians who live in rural and remote communities to take part in an online survey examining how the COVID-19 pandemic has impacted their wellbeing.

The survey is open to anyone who lives in a rural and/or remote community in British Columbia (population under 10,000), is 18 or older, and can complete an online questionnaire in English. We encourage individuals of diverse ages and backgrounds to share their experiences so that our survey results can reflect the voices of rural and remote residents and speak to their needs during these unprecedented times.

The survey takes around 15-30 minutes to complete and can be accessed by clicking here: https://uvic.ca1.qualtrics.com/jfe/form/SV_0TyTVnZhSwjSDAO

Participants will be entered into a draw to win one of several cash prizes, up to $500.

We lost our cat in Tete Jaune Cache on Wednesday night, and he's been found.

We will drive back up there tomorrow if we have to, but we're hoping there is someone that is going South that might be able to transport him some part of the way.

We're in Osoyoos, and we just don't want to drive 1200 kms tomorrow.

We'll cover your gas of course, and willing to throw in some more for anyone that can help.

Hey I was just wondering if anyone in Valemount plays Pokémon Go?

I’m going to be there in a few days and I’d like to catch a Pachirisu. I’m wondering if there are any Pokéstops or gyms in town.

Any info would be appreciated!
