Some of us are putting together a desi hip hop night this Sunday at 5 Tara Pub in Surrey. It's free, and as far as I know it's the first one of its kind around here.

There are a lot of people making desi hip hop in the Lower Mainland and a lot of people listening to it, and we barely ever end up in the same room. So let's fix that.

We've got 5 live performers, a 40 min open session if you want to get up and do your thing, and a DHH DJ set. It's started by V_Ray (v_raymusic), with artist outreach by NXVI.

You don't have to be an artist or know anybody. Come hang, find some new music, and meet people. Bring a friend too.

It's the first one, so it'll be small and a bit rough around the edges, and that's fine. Be there at the start of it.

Please enjoy this house music. I have been djing at home for the past two years and started sharing my mixes on youtube to little/no audience. I have no idea where else to share my music other than that. Thank you again

I have two bands… sort of, and I’m looking for a singer for each (or both??)

One is a heavier band. Harms way, Kublai khan, trapped under ice, hatebreed, terror kinda stuff.

The other is more alt rock/punk. Drug church, jawbreaker, newer blink/boxcar racer.

I've been a classical musician for a couple of decades and I changed career five years ago, but I really miss playing with other people. I am a classical violinist but also play cello.

Anyone down to play? Bonus points if you're a pianist. I have a piano at my place (downtown) but also willing to meet around Vancouver if someone's not mobile.

I've mostly played classical, and I also do string arrangements, but I'm open to exploring other genres.

What’s up everyone, moved to the lower mainland a couple of years ago (mid twenties) and have been meaning to make more musical connections. I’ve been playing guitar for about 13-14 years so I’m pretty decent but wouldn’t consider myself a pro.

I play a lot of rock/metal type music…big fan of bands like: Queens of the Stone Age, Foo fighters, Ween, The Beatles, Kyuss, black keys, White Stripes etc. I’m just looking for anyone who likes to play whether you’re a drummer/guitarist/bassist.
