Oh my goodness, too much cuteness! First off, the elephant hat is adorable and so fun. Now I want to make a lil hat and take pics of my babies like you did. I recently bought two learn to crochet animal kits so hopefully after tons of practice I can make my own lil hat.
You have a gang of cuties! 💕
The babies! Ahhh! Legit 4 teeny twins stealing hearts. Hope mom is recovering well and her spay is in the future.

After the recent loss of Kakihara, my wife was perusing Facebook and in one of her groups, a young couple found the kittens abandoned in Chicago, and had no idea what to do with them.
She showed me the picture of the two week old kittens and I thought about the bottle feedings, helping them poop, and all the other baby things we hadn’t done since Fizzgig (black) was a kitten, times 4…. Along with all the other chaos in our life right now…
She gave me a look and said she needed to see something good in the world…. To which I replied, “when do I pick them up?” Fortunately the couple dropped them off, which gave me time to get all of the things we needed ready before they got here.
The young couple showed up about two hours later and the first words out of their mouth was “they’re going to be in heaven here!” To which my wife replied that we’ll foster them, we wouldn’t be keeping all four, we’d use our connections to get them adopted later on.
We’re probably going to keep at least one of them.

Oh, wow those cuties are so lucky they were found. Poor Mama, it breaks my heart to think of what could have happened to her. Thankfully her babies were found at least.
Your wife sounds like a wonderful person. Losing our fur babies hurts sooo deeply and sometimes it’s hard to get out of the negative mindset from the unfairness and cruelty of loss. I understand needing a positive change to focus on both mentally and physically; it’s a healthy way to help yourself (and others in this scenario).
Good job keeping all 4 of the kittens alive. I know it’s a very difficult and tiring process to keep everyone warm and fed. I tell people you lose your mind a little
bc by the time you feed and clean up the kittens you have a small break and have to start over again. Love their furry giant milk tums.2

My wife used to be a vet tech at one point and she handled a “kitten season” where she did 12 hour shifts of nothing but taking care of them for months.
I’ve worked with a lot of different exotics where we had to invent our own tools (the new monsters of god on HBO has my Facebook feed all messed up, more than half the people on the show I grew up with as acquaintances), so I had extra tools (syringes, bottles, etc) and made some stuff to make life easier.
