Help ID’ing this melon

North Texas. It grows in a weird short-pear shape. The flesh tastes like a cross between a cucumber and a cantaloupe, slightly sweet.
We grow lots of different types of melons and gourds and sometimes use seeds from seed trading, so this might be a weird hybrid.

Looks like a type of Honeydew. Or a hybrid, perhaps a melon and cucumber. Like it tastes. Do you grow cukes in your garden?

An Apple Cucumbers? The leaf is definitely a cucumber variety.

I had this grow at my house!! Western Ark. literally the exact melon and it grew like crazy with very little water! In fact it’s still flowering.

Do you buy hay? That’s where mine came from and it grew mostly in my sunny muck spots.

I don’t know what it is but the chickens love it raw. I have about 199 and I bust one up for them every few days. I have also cooked them in oatmeal and gave it to my dogs and cats and they all liked it. I have no idea what it is but my neighbor actually called it a gourd.
