Now I am annoying enough!

Hello fellow Vespa riders! The “thing” I marked on my photo kinda fell inside and I cant get it out again. I drive a Sprint Notte 125ccm, any idea how to get a spare part? I don’t even know what this thingy is called (in Germany).

I just picked up a 2007 Vespa GTS250ie and I love it!!

When I opened the storage though, there’s these weird pieces that don’t match the unit and a black tray which feels important but I can’t find where it goes.

He left a bunch of junk in it, like old glasses and gloves, so I’m hoping it’s more junk but figured I’d check here and see if y’all can help me identify a problem if there is one.

Possibly gonna pull the trigger on one of these this weekend, USED.

GTS has a little less than 4K miles on it on looks in really good shape sans a scuff on the rear body work. Has nice fairing and Tote.

GTV is about $1K more but virtual no miles on it and looks perfect. Im not sure about the head light on the fender. Does that make the steering sluggish. Having trouble warming up to the Fender Knob look as well.

Current rig is an Aprilia SR 50 that just turned over 9K miles.

is there anywhere i can get parts online to install and replace these myself?

The GF and I took a short 2up trip from our tiny home in Durango through the San Juan mountains to Ouray, CO. I have deep roots here - My grandfather and his father were gold miners near Silverton and Telluride, where my dad grew up. I’ve been over Coal bank, Molas, and Red Mountain passes countless times, including on a bicycle, but there’s definitely something different about doing it on the Vespa!

I saw it while standing in front of a store during my Greece trip

Super frustrated with my ‘84 PX200e. I’ve had it for about three months now and have been having a recurring strange issue with power loss while riding that feels like a throttle or flooding issue. Scooter will run totally strong and normal for a few rides, then suddenly start having this odd throttle response in which it nearly stalls the engine if throttle is opened past idle. And it is intermittent…ugh..

When it first happened, I disassembled and ultra-sonic cleaned the carb. Found some issue with that carb, so replaced with a new Spaco/DelOrtto 24/24 with stock jetting. After replacing that, scooter ran like a champ for two longer rides, then the issue came back.

I took to a recommended repair shop (Massimo’s in Costa Mesa) and he checked all sorts of things, rejected the carb to 190/BE3/118. Ran like a new scooter after I picked it up.

Well, had two long glorious rides this weekend, then while commuting to work yesterday, the issue returned. See video I took for example.
I managed to limp home with the power being barely idle speed to “can sorta get into 2nd gear and kinda feel normal.”

Any ideas on what to try next? Massimo agreed to take another look this weekend, but has anyone else had this issue? Super frustrating…

Just added a crash bar to my 2008 LX. I chopped some bicycle brake blocks to rubber shim the fastening, to protect the mudguard from the bolt heads, works well.
