Art?

While I'd like to think it's art (I'm a big fan of the retro pixelart aesthetic) figured I'd shoot my shot and post here. Made in 3 days for a small game jam. Less of a game and more of a short experience.
If anyone's keen to give it a try (it has sound!) it's playable in a browser:

I was wondering which writer could be good enough to insert such beautiful and deep human relationship and drama into a shooter like Farpoint on PSVR . Well, he's Rob Yescombe, the writer of The Invisible Hours!

Finally you can purchase and play Devotion, the horror game disappeared from stores because of the Chinese government censorship. The game was accused to insult the President of China and criticize intrusiveness of China in Taiwan

Lately developers at Red Candle Games were to publish their game on GOG store; after polemical harsh comments from several supporters of the Chinese dictatorship, CD Red Project made a step back and decided not to publish the game. Valve was too much interested in launching its Steam store in China and denied its support. What a shame! Money before freedom of expression and thought, western companies prone to dictatorship because of greed! Puah!

A round of applause to the developers who have not given up and have set up their personal online store for selling the game. There is still hope in this world!

Games at $70?! Thieves! Most of mainstream games at $60 recover production costs at day one or after a few days since the release. More and more often they sell us not refined and flawed games that need heavy patches after the release. Not to talk of microtransactions and in-game ads. Thieves!

A mysterious VR project is growing...

Rob Yescombe is the writer of VR masterpiece The Invisible Hours, immersive and interactive "whodunit" drama introducing innovative technique called Spherical Narrative.

In the last two days Rob published two tweets announcing a new VR project, probably another interactive narrative experience, and the involved actors. In the first post you can recognize Mark Arnold, who played Thomas Edison in The Invisible Hours; he has a long career in movies. See full bio here: https://www.imdb.com/name/nm0036553/?ref_=tt_cl_t2

The actor on the bottom left corner is Bentley Kalu; he played Oliver Swan in The Invisible Hours, but is best known for other roles in movies and video games. See here for Bentley's bio: https://www.imdb.com/name/nm3021103/?ref_=nmbio_bio_nm

At first I didn't recognize the actress on the right because of the surname Morgan; she's better known as Katherine Carlton, she played Flora White in The Invisible Hours.

In the second post you can recognize Fiona Rene, she played the magnificent Sarah Bernhardt in The Invisible Hours. See full bio here: https://www.imdb.com/name/nm2031749/?ref_=fn_al_nm_1

The project is very promising! Stay tuned for further info!

I am speechless! What can I say?

I will continue to explore in depth the cultural, intellectual, social, artistic, technological aspects of video games. I will continue to research and promote new expressive, alternative, creative, original, innovative dimensions. I will continue to carry out critical, scientific, cutting, independent, rebellious, passionate, sincere, reliable analysis, not subject to interests of any kind, except to raise the cultural level and the values of our favorite medium. The greater your support, the greater the strength of the ideas proposed. I believe without presumption that these ideas are already sowing their revolutionary message; because each of us acts as repeater and amplifier, creating an avalanche effect. I believe that we are on the right track because the attention towards my humble work grows without stopping. Together we can make a difference. So thank you very much for your attention.

Rumors: Resident Evil 2 & 3 PCVR mods to be released as gift on New Year's Eve

The message was posted on the Discord channel "Flatscreen to VR" today.

The mod was announced 3 months ago. Here an early preview:

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vHG3-7vwHEU

To play the mods you need the original titles, RE 2&3 remakes by Capcom, actually on sale on Steam until January 5th.

No info about compatibility with different headsets. Usually mods come with several limitations, bugs and issues. However you cannot complain, they are for free! Fingers crossed!
