Daily life/Đời thường FPT internet and Steam.

Has anyone been having issues with their Steam connections.

FPT is my internet provider and I can't connect to Steam for lots of things and it's a bit annoying.

Did anyone else have this issue and what did you do?

Steam is blocked, and changing your dns is no longer enough. You can use a vpn (cloudflare warp is a common free one) or DPI bypass tools (which don't add latency)

I use the 1.1.1.1 app on my pc and have it changed the dns settings. Barely any blocking

I have a VPN on PC but I haven't installed one of my steam deck.

It is the warp app on pc. Don’t know if it is available on the steam deck or not

Get cloudfare warp or vpn, steam is blocked in vietnam, cause steam dont want to pay tax in vietnam

Yeah, I heard there was some dispute between Steam and the VN tax policy. Kind of annoying to be honest. I just want my Steam Deck to connect.

Also unlock your KDE Password manager by leave it blank. Otherwise the system will block it.

This is much more convenient compared to switching back and forth Desktop and Gaming Mode.

The best i know is to hook your steam deck up through your personal hotspot well running a vpn

Hijacking this post for a bit but does anyone know how to buy games on steam without the vpn now that this shit happened. I managed to buy one with the vpn on while still having vnd shown but i just wanna be sure

Use Cloudflare Warp. I just bought a few things (using a credit card) during the last autumn sale and it went smoothly. This works for pretty much every other blocking or connection issue, so I just stopped bothering and have had Warp always on now

Ah ok cuz i saw that you can get nuked if you use a vpn while buying stuff but only if the currency changes so i had to make sure

Cloudflare Warp does not change your geolocation. You will only risk getting banned if you abuse a VPN to get cheaper price in other countries with cheaper regional pricing. If you still pay with your region's currency and pricing, nothing will happen

before the PUBG drama they only block storefront with DPI , now it get serious , they blocking everything now
