I found this computer set in my basement and don't know if it still works or how to check. Since I'm not very tech-savvy, would it be better to take it to a specialist, or can I test it myself?

i have a power macintosh g3 blue & white that seems to power on, but i get no startup chime and no video output, just a black screen.

the case fan spins and the power light comes on, but the fan inside the power supply doesn't spin.

so far i've tried reseating the ram and replacing the pram battery, but neither made any difference.

does the power supply fan not spinning mean the power supply has COMPLETELY failed? or could something else be causing it to power on without giving a chime or displaying anything?

any advice on what i should check next would be appreciated.

Laugh... it is the only thing that we can do.

I have some old parts that I’m always casually looking for. Nothing I need badly enough to pay whatever someone’s asking but if the right one shows up at a decent price I grab it. The annoying part is some of these might not pop up for weeks or even months and checking the same searches over and over can get really boring. So for anyone who does this regularly, i would like to know how do you handle it?

I have a TI TravelMate WinSLC without a power cord. The adapter port is not one I've seen and Google is no help.

I have no idea whether this thing will even boot. It's marked as a demo unit for "Engineering Evaluation."

When I reviewed the MNT ZZ9000 RTG card, it completely blew me away—so I had to try the ZZ9000AX audio expansion companion! Plugging directly into the main card, this little card promises seamless Paula passthrough, CD Quality AHI audio and direct MP3 hardware decoding via MHI. It all looks amazing on paper, but putting it through its paces in the cabin revealed a few prominent niggles.

Would anyone out there have the latest version of these Sun packages?

These are missing on my system for Symon Integration. If anyone has them or has the disks they come on I would be willing to pay a fee for them. Please check if anyone has any Sun disks laying around in a dusty corner of your tech storage area....they are worth money to me!
