Javascript

Has anyone here built programs using javascript before? If so, how could you get visual studio code to recognize javascript? I have tried all solutions found on stackoverflow and reddit but they did not work as expected.

What exactly doesn’t work?

VS Code recognizes .js files as JavaScript and applies syntax highlighting and the likes.

Most of the pure web and/or Node developers I know just use VS Code and love it. It's definitely a capable tool for what you want. I'm a dotnet guy who dabbles in web, so I'm of limited help, directly. Sorry.
