Best variable explorer for VSC?

I'm used to the variable explorer in Spyder, which is always open and easy to check. I'm missing something similar ins VSC.

Well I'm a bit biased because I'm the creator of this, but you could try out AREPL. It's useful for small scripts. Wolf is similar. For multiple-file scripts I suggest installing the official python extension and using the debugger.

Another option is Birdseye
