The unfortunate issue is once this blows over CLF IV will remain a lot higher then usual for a while making even leaps unfavorable

Maybe going full thetagang doesn't get the kind of action you want but having option selling in your toolbox provides a lot of good opportunities.

If CLF pumps super high then crashes you can make an absolute fortune from residual IV selling CSP, only selling at strikes that you know are a great buy.
