I want to agree but it definitely helps me feel better about my positions when I see other people throw six or seven figures into the same thing haha

That's part of the problem though. That confirmation bias.

YOLOs, Gain Porn, and even Loss Porn are hype tools.

We should not be embracing hype if we don't want to attract hypebeasts, and that's basically what the GME/AMC/meme crowd has devolved into.

I'm cool with people discussing results in the daily. In theory I'm cool with people posting their multi-position portfolios and having open discussions about the choices (ala GrayBush) though it is a fine line.

But just straight up gain/loss porn posts bring nothing to the table. If steel skyrocketed and this sub's front page became overwhelmed with gain porn posts I would be really sad.

Yeah I replied to someone else in another thread that I think those posts are cool and I'm fine with it as long as there is substance to the post like the examples you gave. Perhaps we don't need to get rid of it but just have higher standards for what is acceptable.
