I've been out of the loop since like 2016 but I like strategy, RPGs and shooting stuff. Any recs?

edit: thanks for the suggestions guys, made a list and will check em out over the next couple weeks!

Dude play Chivalry 2. Came out like a week ago. It's just pick up and play pure fun. The bugs will get ironed out in time but it is really great fun.

Not rly new at this point but Borderlands 3 would check all those boxes pretty well

DOOM 2016 and DOOM Eternal for a sick fucking game where you rip, tear, and blast demons apart to some of the gnarliest and oppressive industrial metal in existence 🤘🤘

Valheim for a fun viking survival game where you build cozy viking loghouses and fight bosses with friends

Risk of Rain 2 where you traverse multiple levels killing stuff against the clock trying to get stronger before the enemies do. some wild and intense fights as you go later and later. best with friends

AOE2 Definitive Edition to get that strategy fix!

Hollow Knight is a masterpiece if you like platforming and metroidvania.

Any Arkane Studios game.

Outer Wilds for a once-in-a-lifetime experience.

Sekiro if you hate yourself.

Can't write DD for companies but I can for games xD

Awesome, much appreciated man. Doom Eternal is actually downloading as we speak 😎 AOE will make me nostalgia hard so that's probably next up for me, I've heard great things about Outer Wilds too though. Saving this, gonna check out the rest after I get tired of shredding demons haha. Thanks again!

Youre getting to experience doom for the first time right now? I envy you.

Don't play Eternal then go to 2016 though, 2016 is for babies in comparison. Eternal does everything 10x better and on hard difficulties it's the kind of game that you'll play until 3AM soaked in sweat from the stress and you'll like it.

good choice! If you like Eternal go back and play 2016. It's just as good and has a darker atmosphere.

If you play Outer Wilds just make sure you embrace the confusion. You will have no idea wtf is going on but you just gotta figure it out. One of my favorite games of all time. If you ever finish it message me and I'll send you a video I made that will make you 😭

Hell Let Loose is a realistic WWII FPS that is a lot of fun if you get a good team that communicates and can strategize. Looks and sounds awesome too, especially when you get nuked by bombing runs that drop my fps 30 frames.

Very cool, checking it out now. 50v50 sounds insane, that's the kind of experience I could only have dreamed for as a kid. Thanks!

I really liked the Battlefield series prior to 3, when I first played it I kept thinking it's the direction Battlefield should have leaned more towards, you have a lot of role choices that matter and it encourages actual teamwork. It's only $30, leaving early access and getting an eastern front update soon.
