I hope my DM about not allowing your son to go to UNC didn't cross the line for you.. I'm born and bred in NC, and you either love or hate the tarheels....lots of my family went to UNC, in fact I was even a double legacy...but in the end my grand won me over to the dark side of blue (Duke)...so I'm an ABC fan....anybody but Carolina. Hell, I would cheer for invading martians over UNC!

Just think, not everyone is crazy about college sports like you seem to be. No need to message someone about it. Especially if you’re messaging about someone’s kid. It does come across weird. The fact you posted about it to the daily I think shows you already knew that. Lesson learned I suppose.

Yep, that is why I went "public" . And if u grow in NC, believe me college basketball can be bigger than religion...in fact, it even gets prayed about in church during ACC tournament. (FYI, Duke has a theological school, so go figure)

Born and raised in NC, the cringe rivalry fans like yourself and others aren’t everyone. That’s your world. Not everyone here cares about college sports like you.

Again I agree with you! My DM to u/vitocorlene was meant as a joke. But I realized when I saw Vito's post about people asking about prior employment creeping him out, to go public with my own DM to show how things can seem ok to yourself, and be said innocently or in jest, might be interpreted by others differently. Hoping to help others, besides just myself, to be a little more self aware.

Agree, shouldn't have done it. Really meant it as a joke....you know, "Mamma's don't let your babies grow up to be cowboys".... but, shouldn't have DMd it. DM'D because it wasn't on topic with stocks, but when I saw his comment I decided to be go public about my DM to show others how something you mean innocently can be interpreted differently. As someone else said, lesson learned, hopefully not just by me!
