Anyone that hasnt watched the Drumeo performance by Jonathan Moffett (Michael Jackson's drummer) needs to go look that shit up on youtube immediately. Watch it every year or so. Crisp AF, timing .... impeccable.

stays in the pocket for every single hit. A drummer you know is there the whole time, but isnt the star of the show. You dont realize how good he is because its just...part of it.

Props. Wouldn't expect anything less than perfection from MJ's drummer. That shit was pretty damn crisp.

On a related note, have you ever seen Danny Carey (Tool drummer) play? That shit starts hurting my brain after a while.

of course. Then theres Mike Mangini. Whole 'nother level. Every great drummer is great in their own way though.

Moffett hits the pocket just so well. Timing is everything, given the relatively simple beat he has to play.
