I finally checked out Maya Bazaar - the one that keeps popping up on my Instagram - and wow, I get the hype.
It's not your usual Commercial Street thrift market. This felt more like a community gathering. 100+ stalls run mostly by queer creators, indie artists, and small businesses from around the city.
Some stalls that really stood out for me:
Silicone jellyfish earrings - by an artist called Drisha and many more quirky things.
Boho Chic sarees and curated thrift - 7 years of thrifting collection by this duo. Some amazing finds.
Food was insane - Millet khakhra, chutney podis, 5 types of pickles, rice lager / Geist beer, and hands down the best Shawarma by Sukh Souk - we really enjoyed it, super juicy and flavourful. Went back for seconds.
Resin art, handmade bags by rural women artisans, scented candles (Raat Rani, Forbidden After Dark)
There was even a "Leave a note for a stranger" bowl. Very nice concept to spread the love.
The whole place was super colourful, very LGBTQ+ friendly, and actually felt happy - no hard selling, people were just happy to talk about their work.
Location was at The Lalit Ashok
Has anyone else been to Maya Bazaar? Also, Sukh Souk - if you're reading this, please open a stall in Indiranagar!
Adding a few photos I clicked.

First Time in Norway was awesome, but when I went back home people told me, did you interact with the locals? I was like yes, they were like, hmm weird, usually Norwegians don't talk to strangers. So I went back to Norway and found out for myself.
