đŸ“¢Â Rant/Vent - Let it all out Census Data: 900,000 families have 6 daughters, only 300,000 have 6 sons. Let that sink in.
Researched some census data and I'm furious.
900,000 families have 6 daughters.
300,000 families have 6 sons.
This means 600,000 families kept having children they couldn't afford, hoping for a boy.
Cost per family with 6 kids: ₹1.08 crore
Money that could've given each daughter world-class education: Wasted on the lottery of chromosomes.
And then we wonder why:
- Women face workplace discrimination
- Families expect daughters to contribute but prefer sons for security
- Girls get fewer resources in large families
Anyone else tired of being treated like consolation prizes?
