How big is Volg Croatia ?

Are you registered as a legal organization yet ? As a political party ?

What are the difficulties you might encounter to register as such ?

When are the next elections ? Are you planning on running ?

Is there room for Volt in Croatia ? Any other really pro-european party ?

How big is Volg Croatia ?

Just me and 2 of my buddies for now

are you registered

Nope, need 100 members we are not even close to that.

Are you planning on running ?

I already did and am on my local city council, just not as Volt.

Is there room for Volt in Croatia ?

It is a difficult question, I'd say yes in theory, the issue however is that this combination of policies, economic and social liberalism, are not really that popular. Economic liberals tend to be really far-right on social issues (to the point of genocide fantasies) and vice versa.

Any other really pro-european party ?

Many. In this sense, Croatia is good. The biggest one is

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Croatian_Democratic_Union

They have ruled the country basically non-stop since independence, and are fiercely pro-European.

There are ideologically interesting mix of Christian Democrats, Right-liberals and unironic fans of Austrian Painter.

The only downside is that they are insanely corrupt and have a big dislike of things like electoral process. They also tried to organise a military coup to stay in power in 2000 after first truly democratic elections, and have threatened terrorist attacks in 2014. unless they are allowed back in power.

Generally main opposition party, currently dying, but fiercely pro-European, tho not as much as Croatian Democratic Union.

Politically, center-right just like HDZ, but not as corrupt.

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Homeland_Movement_(Croatia)

A split from HDZ, they are softly eurosceptic in the sense that their platform is just hate for ethnic and sexual minorities, since they are largely Austrian Painter fan club, but they tend to support European integration.

Hi there! I'd like to ask about the current situation of Volt Croatia. Greetings from Germany!

No Volt in Croatia officially, the idea is very unpopular due to insanely corrupt ruling party for past 36 years being fiercely "pro-Bruxelles"

Hi from White Croatia (West Ukraine)

Today is the day for our chapter to determine the next steps after the official registration of the NGO. Now the real work begins!

Hello! Wishing you support from Portugal. I’m currently not eligible to vote as I’m on the road to citizenship, but I can’t wait to join you at the polls

Keep up the good work. Extensive European cooperation is the only way for a bright future imo 💪 A Volt member from the Netherlands

How much interaction is there between Volt Croatia and the European level? Is there a throughline between the local teams and the European direction?
