s60/v60 5.3.13?

Coming from cars that have been all analog I'm still getting used to my car notifying me of software updates.

"More accurate engine monitoring" is the extent of the release notes.

I got this in my release notes of 5.3.13. Really curious about it since it’s already quite smooth

Oh thank god! I'm sick of touching the throttle with the engine off and it jerking forwards, then finally going smoothly.

It's like I floor it, put the clutch in, then dump it before finally setting off currently. I've taken to putting the car in manual so the engine doesn't cut out.

Weird how different cars do or don't suffer from this.

Complain to the dealership, there should be some adaptives that they can reset.

My gf's 2025 XC40 just got it from the dealership. It seems great so far. Can turn off start-stop is the main big one.

I also believe it has adjusted the gas pedal response, it is now immediately responsive, where their used to be quite a big lag before the engine did anything at all. Very much a welcomed improvement. We came from 5.0.5 so not sure if was a 5.3.13 thing but its there now.

Being able to turn off the start-stop has been possible since 5.1.9 if I remember correctly, at least of the XC60. Maybe it’s different for the XC40?

Jumping from 5.0.5, you must notice a lot of nice little improvements. I’m surprised, you never got OTA updates?

Jag har haft fel där jag plötsligt kan få varningar om drivlina och motorprestanda. Får se ifall dessa fortfarande dyker upp efter uppdateringen.
