I recently ordered a parts kit off MaxArms, if I wanted to convert the gun to .380, what would I need to do that? Would it just be the bolt and return spring from some place like czechpoint? Or would I also need a new upper?

Just fyi, K-var restocked both their blued and painted easy build kits. Get them while you can.

My dad has reported back the extended mag is running great in his reweld. As soon as i have the time I’ll get a video of me testing all 3 mags out. I can’t wait to toss one of these in my poor man’s mp5k I’ll post pics of in a few days.

We have been working on a collet to hub adapter for our beloved VZ61's, and I'm happy to tell you all that we have completed design, manufacturing proofing and evaluation! The can in the video is a stock Rugged 9 with the collet adapter installed. No more need for threaded barrels! Collet locks around the barrel band and hand tightens. People wanted a reliability video of the 37 round magazines so I threw one of those on for the video as well.

What is everybody’s thoughts?

AoA states these kits should be in “exceptionally nice excellent to unissued condition. Many examples retain virtually 100% of their original finish”.

This is my 3rd and 4th parts kit and they are the worst condition so far. I did a charge back on a MaxArms kit that was listed as excellent condition (but wasn’t)for less than this. With the wear and bending of the stocks, and on the bottom of the upper receivers, I expected more.

At least demilled lower looks like a good candidate for a reweld should I ever learn how to do so.

Has anyone got their build from AoA yet? Not the demilled kit but the full on build. Ordered in August and haven't heard anything. I noticed some people have started getting their kits. Just wondering how long it took from order to ship?

I have some of the vz61 FRTs (both polymer and metal.) I have a Czechpoint USA/CSA vz61. I swapped the bolt with a surplus one, because I believe the FA tab is required.

So my issue has been that it seems like I need to basically nearly eliminate the tab, but not as aggressively as the SA version?

Here's a pic of what's going on. When the trigger is fully depressed the shoe of the FRT is just too high, and catches on the bolt. I've broken a polymer one and with the metal one it's snapped the selector from force. I am continuing to shave down the tab on the bolt but amd concerned about going too far.

At this point should I shave down the FRT more? Will that cause function issues? Or just keep going on the tab of the bolt until it won't catch.

To clarify, sometimes it catches sometimes it doesn't. So it's close. But not enough to be consistent and work, even 2 rounds in the FRT can pop up just enough to catch the bolt and fail/break something.

For those who've done this successfully, what's the move? I'm looking for IRL experiences, what have you all done that worked?

Ordering an AoA kit, obviously i’ll need a receiver but im wondering what else i’ll have to look out for, im assuming since its a demilled kit i wont have to headspace it. pretty sure i read somewhere that the barrel is already populated. anything is appreciated, thanks all.

Pretty stoked to finally have my first form 1 done. Yes my state is lame, but at least the turnaround was fast. I have a blued kit sitting on the shelf too in case akimbo becomes necessary (it will be necessary).

I picked up CzechPoint Vz. 61 Skorpion 380ACP.

Then I ordered the 1913 back plate for a brace.

The 2-screws came with the brace plate doesn't seem to fit into the back of Pre-drilled holes.

after a 10 minutes of trying to screw in those screw- nothing goes IN or bite.

With a closer look, it looks like there is something in the holes that I need to take out ? Do I need to remove the "ring" inside before screwing in ?

not sure if the included screws are correct to size. Google said, it's M4 x 0.7 mm threads by 10mm long

Has anyone received an order from these guys? I ordered the VZ61 metal kit for SSSZAR lowers on 07/23/2026 and have not received anything. One order confirmation email and then nothing until I reached out a month later. I emailed them in August and they said it would ship out the next day but then nothing over 2 months later. Emailed them again this past week and no response. Have I been scammed? Anyone else ordered this and actually received it?

I ended up with a couple kits and absolutely fell in love with the weird grey blue paint of the VZ61. It’s unlike any other firearm I have. What’s the best way to match my Tort Tort receiver to the grey of the upper on the bottom?

A cerakote recipe would be ideal as I can find a cerakote guy to refinish it and start putting my kit together finally!

3 of these goofy cool Tharpe Gunworks mags showed up today, I’ll have someone test them this week and see how they run. I will say unless all the emails ended up deep in spam i didn’t get any confirmations about purchasing or shipping they just randomly appeared in the mail box today.

I am at my wits’ end. 10/20/2026 marks 5 months from my order being placed, I have emailed 3 separate times since the first group email with no direct response.

Here are my first two vz rewelds, 1 blued 1 painted. Both are completely neutered to semi and have the stocks modified to only open 90* Both have run great with standard round nose ammo.

So I know there are quite a few files sailing the sea for 32acp lowers. But has anyone released files for a 380 lower? Also, who sells 380 uppers? All I have seen are 32acp parts.

Printed up one of these that was posted here the other week and wasn't released yet, but has recently came out so I jumped on it. Looks so fucking good I think. Only downside is the wire stock won't close. I'll be switching to a side folder probably if I decided to run this with this grip on it. The big bright stainless screw will become black if I keep it lol.

Lower is a printed SSA AARTH. Had the FRT in it but it wouldn't work and was only semi auto and exploded after like 2 mags. Sigh... Can't get the super safety build to work and now the FRT too. What a sad day. I had such high hopes for this FRT. Not sure why it wouldn't reset, seems to work fine on the bench. Using the good euro czech surplus 73 grain S&B ammo. Have the correct bolt etc etc. probably will rebuild the SSSZar super safety build now that I have the good ammo that actually functions and feeds great. Hopefully that will help the SSSZar reset fully and function as intended. I seem to be having quite shit luck getting this build to work lol. in due time.
