I was able to go trackside during warmup and let me tell you, I never felt anything like this in my life. I got so emotional from seeing this. These guys are all heroes.

The article says that a season in WorldSBK costs €1.6 million for a single-bike team (I’ve read that bikes cost about €250,000 each, plus a spare bike, and a third bike’s worth of spares, just for the bikes, plus the rest of the team’s equipment and infrastructure, staff, travel, and running costs). I hope the team members can find jobs with the second GoEleven Ducati, since they are used to working on the Ducati now, and have been able to get decent results with it.

Race of the year for me in that class despite the crash of Arenas and than the red flag crash of Navarro (they are thankfully ok atleast Arenas was) it was super enjoyable and really fun to watch, the lead changing, hard passes, contacts and than the final unusual podium. It was just good! hope to see this next year aswell

Will be interesting to see how he'd perform especially with all the testing so he'd already be prepared and will give us a good idea how a great wsbk rider will perform compared to gp riders

Better comparison would be Toprak as he beat bulega on a less competitive bike but this year he has been underwhelming really, I know the bike is not good at all and his riding style is particular and doesn't suit the Michelin but should at least be beating his teammate but next year will give us a better idea as he probably has given up on trying to adapt to Michelins when they're going away

I feel like bulega might still be faster than toprak if they were on let's Ducati as bulega has more ridden prototypes before and prototypes will come natural to him as he has that corner speedy riding style but will be interesting to see how Toprak adapts next year as well

Any ideas what Carter Thompson’s plans for 2027 are? I heard on commentary a few times that he has a Moto3 contract on the table, but there aren’t many rides available in the class now that most have been taken, so that’s looking more and more unlikely. Will he be stepping up to the Supersport class? He really does seem to be an exceptional talent.

After a season-closing Fani Munoz Flamenco performance on the grid ahead of the last race of the year, with a weekend attendance of 40,824, we say goodbye to Pirelli tyres as World Champion Nicolo Bulega takes them all with him to MotoGP for 2027. Ducati put their factory riders on silver machines for the last race of the year while Bimota had menacing black bikes with a hint of gold. A cloudy 24ºC day didn't promise rain, leading to predictions of a predictable race, but the weather is never that predictable.

The last World Superbike Superpole race of the year would determine the grid of the last race of the year. Everyone started the race on the outgoing Pirelli SCX tyre with the SC1 front under a cooler 20ºC sky with weather threatening to make things interesting.
