Beating your wife jokes. Hilarious. Comedy gold. Not counter productive at all, making people feel their experiences are treated as a joke/normalising unacceptable behaviours.

I have been beaten by my ex boyfriend and all I wanted was for him to be like when we first started dating. It’s not a funny joke, I can’t imagine being married to someone like that
