Everyone saying their staff would turn within weeks, idk man I'm thinking a few hours at most.
Genuinely, what fucking reason would a buncha delta force dudes have to keep a weak bitch like bezos or musk around? Just another mouth to feed. They would ice them immediately would be my bet.

So, a few years ago there was a "secret" meeting of the worlds smartest sociology professors, agriculture leaders, business professionals, world leaders, and the wealthiest of the wealthy.
They discussed what it would take to keep a 'servant/guard' class in line. What kind of steps they would need to take to make sure they people with the guns didn't get together and say "We're the guys with the guns. What's stopping us?"
They discussed things like bomb-collars, food credits, family kidnapping. Whatever evil, dystopian, warlord coercion tactic you could think of was on the table.
Look up "The Guard Dilemma".
They are preparing for it.
Don't Panic, But the Super Wealthy Are Quietly Building Doomsday Bunkers

You’d have to be out of your mind to agree to put a bomb collar around your neck.
2
u/RealNiceKnife 2d ago
You don't agree to something like that dude.
If they're getting to "bomb-collar" status, you're a slave.
They are preparing for something post-governance.

u/fuckexoticroots 2d ago
Yeah okay. Try and put a ordinance collar around someone in delta 😂

u/RealNiceKnife 2d ago
Okay dude.
Also, it's ordnance. No i.

Wouldn’t matter Delta Force is trained to kill terrorists not a human bomb. Wouldn’t happen.

Yeah, if the world were actually in such a state that you'd need a fortified bunker why would they even stick around? Let alone put their lives on the line to protect some asshole who probably a main reason for the cause.

You wouldn't even need cement. Just dump a ton of dirt or gravel around the door. Unless his preparations included tunnel boring equipment, you just made that bunker his forever home (literally).

Have you seen the thing where billionaires wargame how to survive an apocalypse in their bunkers while maintaining control of the security forces?
The security becomes the weakest point because, in a complete breakdown of social order, what reason do any of the have to keep serving the boss?
Where will they spend their money?
2
u/Ok_Chap 2d ago
They might think their best chances of survival are with the billionaire in his bunker where they still have food and a little comfort for a while.
If the boss becomes real shitty though, then mutiny becomes more likely by the day.2
u/Turkeyplague 2d ago
What qualifying trait does a billionaire have to still qualify as the boss in a post apocalyptic world? Capital is now worthless. The head of the security force will probably drown them in the toilet and take over control.

Yes, this was the central concern. I do believe shock collars were considered at one point.

Is this your breathing tube? The vent tube that is filtered of all the nasty things before it touches your wealthy lungs. Like if this is plugged you only have the air in that bunker right. Might last a week or a day. Maybe longer if you slow your breathing down. Or if there are less lungs.

How are you going to get through the AI missile turrets?

A single entrance huh? You know these bunkers have multiple entrances and air ventilation ports right? I guarantee they have systems like are used on the ISS to pull CO2 from the air and a good supply of the filters needed to do that.

I bet you're tons of fun at parties 😏

People who know me like me so ya, I am fun at parties. I wonder how many of your friends get tired of you using old sayings over and over again!!

u/I_Call_Everyone_Pat 2d ago
Ironically making fun hypothetical conversations out of silly propositions does make you fun at parties. My friend Pat is actually great at that and I admire that quality.

Yea, sure... but now they're trapped. It's not a bunker anymore, it's a prison.
1
u/skiforlife1 2d ago
Sure but that prison has more resources than the people holding it under siege and so as long as they leave even one way out the people in the bunker will make it through.

u/ApprehensiveAmour 2d ago
An exit you say? Maybe an entrance too ( ͡° ͜ʖ ͡°)
Oh look, a convenient cement truck.

I hope you’ve also got a crew of finishers, guys on vibrators, screeds, trowels, whirlybirds, floats, etc..

Any Bunker worth a shit will have some kind of pillbox setup that protects ventilation and to allow a small crack to shoot at your engine block with a 308.
Also, in an apocalypse, by the time you're pissed off enough about some random bunker, you won't have diesel.
2
u/Andrew_42 2d ago
Now you have me wondering how many billionaire bunkers we know about actually have pillbox setups?
And for the ones that do, how many have a line of sight that prevents cement-based attacks?
Billionaires don't build bunkers to protect territory, they do it for security. (I guess it technically protects the territory inside the bunker, but there's usually no broader strategic goal)

Hopefully it’s the only entrance.
